Founded in 2016 by Courtney Scheer and Michael Perdomo, Lady Strange performs original blues‑rock compositions alongside inventive covers. Scheer’s theatrical training and soulful vocals complement Perdomo’s acoustic guitar–driven rock foundation. Andrew Grau provides a jazz‑rooted bass presence, and brass arrangements appear on several original tracks. The band has appeared at prominent New York City venues, including 54 Below and Rockwood Music Hall, among others.
