With this Jazz Standard appearance, Chris and Dan Brubeck mark the start of the centennial year of their father, legendary pianist Dave Brubeck (December 6, 1920–December 5, 2012). The brothers have been making music together practically all their lives, having cut their first record together in 1966. Over the decades, they’ve experimented with various styles in various groups before settling into a solid, still–adventurous groove with guitarist Mike DeMicco and pianist Chuck Lamb in the Brubeck Brothers Quartet.
