Saxophonist and educator Brent Rose has been quietly making waves in the New Orleans music scene for more than a decade now. A 2021 Grammy Award winner (with the New Orleans Nightcrawlers) and current professor and Chair of the University of New Orleans School of Music, he is a widely sought-after performer and studio musician.    In addition to playing with Chegadão and the Joe Krown Organ Combo, Rose's professional career has also included time with Quintology, Galactic, Nicholas Payton, The Temptations, Flavor Kings, New World Funk Ensemble, and of course, The New Orleans Nightcrawlers. In his focus on Latin music, Brent co-leads the popular local Cuban band Muévelo! with Margie Perez.    Tonight he presents his newer project, Brent Rose y Agua. Having played Latin Jazz most of his adult life with local bands, Otra, Chevere, and his own group Muévelo!, Brent recently turned his focus to some original music of his own and started this super group;    Yusa on bass and vocals, and Vicjcome (Victor Campbell Moises) on piano are two of the finest Cuban musicians living in New Orleans right now. Jafet Perez from the Dominican Republic is a master of all things percussion. Agua! is also often joined by Cesar Bacaro, an incredible Cuban percussionist.
