Les Kerr is a songwriter, recording artist and performer who brings blues, New Orleans music, Zydeco, rock and bluegrass together to create his “Hillbilly Blues Caribbean Rock & Roll.” A Nashville resident since 1987, Kerr was born in Louisiana and raised in Mississippi. Les has recorded twelve albums, including his latest, released in February 2025, Child of Highway Ninety. About Les’ music, national music publication No Depression’s Lee Zimmerman wrote, “Nashville’s Les Kerr creates a sound that’s both jovial and cerebral all at the same time…Kerr takes his stylistic additives from a variety of genres -- reggae, country, folk, blues and rock ‘n’ roll -- and meshes them into a hybrid that’s philosophical [and] sunny.” Les has performed at many festivals and has headlined annual Mardi Gras celebrations at Nashville’s famed Bluebird Café since 1992. He has performed at Nashville’s Official Independence Day Celebration, the Grand Ole Opry House, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Southern Festival of Books. Regional performances include shows at the Maple Leaf Bar and Louisiana Music Factory (New Orleans, LA); Decatur, Alabama’s Historic Princess Theatre; The Listening Room (Mobile, AL); The Railyard (Decatur, AL); Hal and Mal’s (Jackson, MS); Atlanta Dogwood Festival and Knoxville (TN) Dogwood Festival. Les also appears on television and radio programs including the WDVX Blue Plate Special in Knoxville, TN, where he has recorded two live albums (As Is and Part of the Show). Other broadcast appearances include Coffee, Country and Cody (WSM, Nashville), the Grinders Switch Radio Hour (Centerville, TN) and the Haggard and Haggard Radio Hour (WRFN FM, Nashville). Mackinac Blues, from Les’ New Orleans Set CD, was included in NPR’s All Songs Considered and the New Orleans-based OffBEAT magazine declared, “Kerr’s musical stylings aptly cover the gamut from rockabilly to boogie to Caribbean beats with ease.” Les was a three-time award nominee of the former Music City Blues Society and was featured in the TV documentary Civil War Songs and Stories broadcast on PBS stations across the U.S.

Multiple Grammy award winner, Carl Jackson, was born in the small town of Louisville, Mississippi on September 18, 1953. By the time he was eight years old, thanks to his father's influence and a burning desire inside, he was already well on his way to being an accomplished musician. At age fourteen, after playing backstage at a local concert for Jim and Jesse McReynolds, he was asked to be a Virginia Boy by the bluegrass greats and soon found himself on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. He played banjo for Jim and Jesse for almost five years before joining The Sullivan Family for a short time as a guitarist. Carl then broke away and journeyed to Columbus, Ohio to form a group called "The Country Store" with close friends Jimmy Gaudreau, Bill Rawlins, and the late Keith Whitley. The band in its original form would last little more than a week, for just around the corner lay another big break for the boy from the hills of Mississippi. Glen Campbell came into town to play the state fair and being huge fans of his, Carl and Keith went out to see the show. Afterwards they ran into Glen's banjo player, Larry McNeely, who persuaded Carl to come by the next day for a jam session. After picking for a while, Larry suddenly told Carl he had been looking for someone to take his place with Glen because he was tired of traveling and that Carl was the man. Larry took him to meet and play for Campbell and Glen hired him on the spot. For the next twelve years, Glen featured Carl everywhere he went as “the greatest banjo player in the world”.  During his years with Glen, Carl started to concentrate on his vocal and songwriting abilities as well as his musicianship. He recorded two albums for Capitol Records, ("Carl Jackson: Banjo Player" and "Old Friends"), three for Sugar Hill, ("Banjo Man: A Tribute To Earl Scruggs", "Song Of The South", and "Banjo Hits"), and then in 1984 his signing with Columbia Records produced a couple of top forty country songs, ("She's Gone, Gone, Gone" and "Dixie Train"). It was at this time that Carl made the decision to leave Glen Campbell and strike out on his own. It has turned out to be a very wise one. Jackson's "Little Mountain Church House" was voted the 1990 International Bluegrass Music Association song of the year and a more recent version by George Hamilton IV was a 2005 Dove Award nominee for Bluegrass Song of the Year.  On February 25th, 1992, for his album with John Starling entitled "Spring Training", Carl was awarded his first Grammy. A few months later he received a Dove Award for southern gospel song of the year, "Where Shadows Never Fall", recorded by Glen Campbell. The beautiful ballad, "No Future In The Past", by male vocalist of the year Vince Gill was a huge songwriting success for Carl and was named the #1 Country Song of the Year for 1993 by Radio & Records magazine. In 1998, after hearing Carl’s demo, Garth Brooks decided to include the Jackson spiritual entitled "Fit For A King" in his "Sevens" project.  All in all, Carl has had hundreds of his songs recorded, with sales in excess of fifty million units.  A poll conducted by Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine several years ago found Carl to have written eight of the top 200 bluegrass songs of all time. Carl has also had a hand in the production of several great artists such as Ruby Lovett, Slickerbilly, Mike Ward, Real Surreal, Carly Goodwin, Bering Strait, Jim & Jesse and Bobbie Cryner, whose first effort on Sony Records received the honor of Best Country Album of 1993 in USA Today. More recently he has worked with new artists, Shawn King, Jennifer Wayne, Bradley Walker (2007 IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year) and Alecia Nugent, as well as well-known country sweethearts, Joey + Rory. One of Carl’s finest production successes is entitled “Livin’, Lovin’, Losin’ – Songs Of The Louvin Brothers” and was the 2003 Grammy winner for Country Album of the Year.   “How’s The World Treating You”, an incredible duet from the album, featuring James Taylor and Alison Krauss, also won the Grammy for vocal collaboration of the year.  The CD was released in September 2003 and contains other performances by EmmyLou Harris & Rodney Crowell, Patty Loveless & Jon Randal, Dolly Parton & Sonya Isaacs, Joe Nichols & Rhonda Vincent, Glen Campbell & Leslie Satcher, Johnny Cash & Pam Tillis, Vince Gill & Terri Clark, Ronnie Dunn & Rebecca Lynn Howard, Harley Allen & Dierks Bentley, Marty Stuart & Del McCoury, Kathy Louvin & Pamela Brown Hayes, as well as three performances by Carl himself; one with songwriting pals, Larry Cordle & Jerry Salley, one with country legend, Merle Haggard, and one with the incredible Linda Ronstadt.  Carl & Linda’s version of “The New Partner Waltz” is also included in Ronstadt’s 2014 “Duets” release. Speaking of Merle Haggard, Carl played guitar, as well as sang and produced all the harmony vocals on Hag's release, "The Bluegrass Sessions", except on one song where  Alison Krauss joins Carl and lends her angelic voice to "Mama's Hungry Eyes".    Carl is featured on banjo, as well as vocals, along with Marty Stuart and Sheryl Crow, on the bluegrass gospel classic, “Life’s Railway To Heaven”, included on Brad Paisley’s “This Is Country Music” project.  In addition, he lends some high lonesome tenor to the title track, as well as “A Man Don’t Have To Die”, along with the awesome, Sonya Isaacs.  Brad, once again invited Carl to be part of his 2013 release, “Wheelhouse” , singing harmony on “The Mona Lisa”, “Runaway Train”, and “Outstanding In Our Field”. On September 21st 2011, another stellar project produced by Jackson was released to the public and has garnered rave reviews across the country.  “Mark Twain: Words & Music” tells the life story of the great Samuel Clemens and contains magical musical performances by Emmylou Harris, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Rhonda Vincent, Bradley Walker, The Church Sisters, Sheryl Crow, Brad Paisley, Marty Raybon, Val Storey, Vince Gill, Joe Diffie and Ricky Skaggs, as well as narration by Garrison Keillor, along with Jimmy Buffet, as the voice of Huck Finn, and non-other than Mr. Clint Eastwood, as the legendary Mark Twain.  Carl even performs a song himself, entitled “Safe Water”, co-written with dear friend, Jerry Salley. On December 26th, 2011 the state of Mississippi honored Carl with an official Country Music Trail Marker in his hometown of Louisville.  The beautiful marker, which highlights Jackson’s career, stands within a stone’s throw of the historic Strand Theatre.  Carl performs his annual “Home For Christmas” concert every December in the very building where he used to see movies as a kid, not to mention being born on the third floor, which housed a clinic back in 1953. Carl's 2014 project, “Grace Notes”, is an inspired guitar instrumental portrait of dearly loved hymns.  It was recorded using a collection of rare acoustic guitars, some dating back to the mid-1800s, and includes Jackson's own voice telling the "story" behind each instrument. In early May of 2015, Jackson’s heartfelt tribute to the historic 1927 Bristol Sessions was released.  The two CD set, called “Orthophonic Joy: The 1927 Bristol Sessions Revisited”,  tells the complete story of “the big bang of Country Music”, is narrated by legendary Grand Ole Opry announcer, Eddie Stubbs, and contains stellar performances by such artists as Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Emmylou Harris, Marty Stuart, Dolly Parton, Ashley Monroe, The Shotgun Rubies, Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers, Vince Gill, Keb’ Mo’, The Church Sisters, Corbin Hayslett, Brad Paisley, Ashley & Shannon Campbell, Larry Cordle & The Virginia Luthiers, Jesse McReynolds, and The Chuck Wagon Gang.  Carl also performs himself with a driving rendition of “Pretty Polly”, as well as trading guitar licks and vocals back and forth with the aforementioned superstar, Brad Paisley, on the classic “In The Pines”. Glen Campbell’s final studio album, “Adios”, was produced by Jackson and holds a very special place in his heart.  Carl’s gratitude and appreciation for the man he sincerely considers “the greatest singer I’ve ever heard” shines through every note and is a testament to the love he will always hold for the “Rhinestone Cowboy”.  With truly deep emotion, Carl states; “Glen Campbell was my hero.  He gave me a job when I was eighteen years old… he featured me all over the world… he taught me countless guitar licks…singing harmony with him made me a much better singer and extended my range tremendously… he even gave me my first top ten country hit as a songwriter… and to top it all off, he honored me with Ashley, the most beautiful and wonderful goddaughter in the world.  There is no way I can ever thank Glen enough for the blessing he has been in my life.”            On November 16, 2018, an incredible collection of songs recorded in the mid to late 60’s entitled “Glen Sings For The King” was released by Universal Records.  It includes eighteen never heard before versions of songs Campbell originally demoed for the great Elvis Presley.  Carl is honored beyond words to have created and produced a digital duet of Glen and Elvis singing the beautiful gospel song, “We Call On Him”.   And, on December 7, 2017, Carl married Robin Arnold.  They both are from Louisville, MS, and were married there by an ex Ole Miss quarterback, no doubt!  It was great to be home together and surprise everyone!    Since those days in Mississippi fifty some odd years ago, two-time SPBGMA Songwriter of the Year and Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame member, Carl Jackson, has realized many of his dreams. But with each dream that becomes a reality, a new dream lies ahead.

Wood Newton moved from his home state of Arkansas to Nashville in 1976 to get in the music business. Since then, as a songwriter Wood has written some of country music’s biggest hits, among them are; "BOBBIE SUE" for THE OAK RIDGE BOYS, "TWENTY YEARS AGO" for KENNY ROGERS, “WHAT I DIDN’T DO” for STEVE WARINER, and “RIDING WITH PRIVATE MALONE” which he produced for DAVID BALL. All four of these songs have received BMI awards for being played over a million times. This coming, June 3, the Arkansas country music Association is awarding Wood, their lifetime achievement award. This year‘s inductees along with Wood are KT Oslin and Randy Goodrum. Wood produced, and sang harmony with David Ball on “OLD FOLKS AT HOME”, a track on “Beautiful Dreamer, The Songs Of Stephen Foster”. It won a Grammy for Traditional Folk Album of the year 2005.

Jimmy Fortune toured, sang and performed with the legendary Statler Brothers for 21 years. He joined them first as a temporary replacement for Lew DeWitt, after DeWitt heard him singing at a ski resort and recommended him.  Following an audition in Nashville, Jimmy was contacted by The Statler Brothers and performed his first show with them on January 28, 1982, in Savannah, Georgia.  Due to the debilitating effects of Crohn’s Disease, Lew was unable to return to the stage with the Statlers, and Jimmy was hired as a permanent replacement in August of 1982. Fortune quickly lived up to his name. He wrote the group’s second No. 1 hit, “Elizabeth,” on their 1983 album Today, and followed that with two more No. 1 hits–“My Only Love” (from 1984’s Atlanta Blue) and “Too Much On My Heart” (from 1985’s Pardners in Rhyme). Fortune also wrote the top-10 hit “Forever” from 1986’s Four for the Show and co-wrote the top-10 hit “More Than a Name on a Wall” from 1988’s The Greatest Hits. Jimmy has performed in all of the U.S. States, in Canadian Provinces, and in front of audiences as large as 100,000.  He was part of the Statlers’ annual Happy Birthday USA celebration in Staunton, Virginia, for 14 years.  He also sang on many of the Statlers’ gold, platinum, and double platinum recordings.  Jimmy’s career included The Nashville Network’s popular “The Statler Brothers Show” which aired for seven seasons and debuted in 1991 as the highest rated show for the network. Jimmy was privileged to perform at the White House on two occasions, once for President Ronald Reagan, and once for President George H. W. Bush.  He also presented a special gift to actress Elizabeth Taylor by singing his song “Elizabeth” to her for a birthday celebration. Jimmy and The Statler Brothers were inducted into the GMA (Gospel Music Association) Hall of Fame on October 29, 2007, and inducted into the CMA (Country Music Association) Hall of Fame on June 29, 2008. Jimmy, as a solo artist, was inducted into the Virginia Musical Hall of Fame in 2018. After The Statler Brothers retired on October 26, 2002, Jimmy seized the opportunity to launch a solo career to share new music with his fans.  His first solo CD, When One Door Closes, was released August 2003 on Audium/Koch. He released a gospel album, I Believe, in June 2005, a Christmas CD, Feels Like Christmas, in 2006, a live concert DVD in 2007 a country CD, “Windows” in 2009, “Lessons” in 2012. In 2015 Jimmy teamed up with the Gaither Music Group and recorded “Hits and Hymns” CD and DVD which debuted at #10 Billboard Country Album, #1 Southern Gospel, and #6 Billboard Contemporary Christian. The DVD debuted at #1 on Billboard Music Video charts.  In 2017 he recorded a compilation of his favorite songs called “Jimmy Fortune Sings the Classics” on the Gaither Music label and in May 2019 they also released “God and Country” CD and DVD which won a Dove Award in 2020 for Country/Gospel/Roots Album of the Year. In 2020 Jimmy joined his friends Ben Isaacs, Mike Rogers and Bradley Walker (Fortune/Walker/Rogers/Isaacs) in recording a quartet style project that included a CD and DVD called Brotherly Love that debuted #16 Billboard (all genres) Top Album Sales on 9-19-20. Their sophomore project, Listen To The Music, was released in 2023 under the name Brothers of the Heart. It debuted #32 Billboard (all genres) and #1 Christian. Jimmy is currently living in Tennessee, writing, touring, and recording music.
