To say the last year has been a whirlwind for Boy & Bear would not only be a cliché, but also an understatement. Since the band’s dulcet tones first hypnotized listeners via the Aussie radio waves in 2009, Boy & Bear has steadily become one of Australia’s most hotly-tipped exports. With the Australian release of their five-song EP, entitled With Emperor Antarctica, the band quickly found themselves on Australia’s national tastemaker station, Triple J. Soon after, they were asked to tour Australia with the likes of folk rock luminaries such as Mumford & Sons, Laura Marling and Angus & Julia Stone. Eventually, the band made their way over to England, supporting Marling throughout the UK, and winning over audiences night after night.
