BOUNCING SOULS
The Bouncing Souls have made a lasting career out of playing anthemic, shout-along punk rock in the classic East Coast style, with lean but catchy melodies, passionate vocals, full-bodied guitars, and rhythms suitable for moshing or pogoing depending on your mood. Since they debuted at the tail-end of the '80s, the Bouncing Souls have been a band who won their following the hard way, through constant touring and building a close rapport with their audience. With the exception of the Misfits, the Bouncing Souls are arguably New Jersey's most popular and enduring punk rock band; in their early years, their music walked a line between hardcore and a more melodic pogo-punk sound with a dash of ska, coupled with playfully goofy tunes like "I Like Your Mom" and "There Are the Quotes from Our Favorite '80s Movies," as documented on 1994's The Good, the Bad, and the Argyle. By the time they cut their self-titled third album in 1997, the Bouncing Souls had gotten tighter and faster, with more heft in their arrangements, and they had established the essential attack that would define their music for decades to come. They displayed a growing lyrical maturity on 1999's Hopeless Romantic without losing their playful side, and though they would take the occasional stylistic detour for a song or two (such as the acoustic guitar and accordion arrangement of "The Pizza Song" from 2006's The Gold Record), the band consistently delivered the upbeat punk music their fans had come to expect.

The Bouncing Souls are something of a punk rock institution. The band have been consistently churningout their beloved brand of anthemic punk since 1989, and have earned an intensely loyal fanbase withtireless touring and anunrelenting love of making music. As the band approached the creation of theirtenth full length, they sought to make a record that captured the spirit of their earlier work, whileincorporating who they are today. That record is Simplicity and its 13 tracks of undeniably infectiouspunk rock prove that The Bouncing Souls have a lot more to say.
In making Simplicity, The Bouncing Souls set out to write songs that, first and foremost, would translate into the live environment. With over 20 years worth of anthems under their collective belt, it's achallenge to write a setlist that incorporates newer material, but Simplicity's many standouts are morethan up to the task. Next, the band enlisted the help of producer John Seymour, who manned the mixingboards for their fan favorite LPs How I Spent My Summer Vacation and Anchors Aweigh, to record the album with all of the raw energy of the live performance. The production of Simplicity perfectlyembodies the band's bite and power, the driving guitars, prominent bass, rock-solid drums, and soaringvocals all cutting through with no unneeded studio shine. From speedy hardcore-influenced ragers, to comparatively tender punk ballads, Simplicity's dynamics show every side of The Bouncing Souls.
On Simplicity, The Bouncing Souls do what so few long-running bands are able to accomplish: theyutilize all of the skills and lessons that come from over 20 years of making music, while still capturing thereckless spontaneity of their past work. That delicate balance can only be found if there's a sincerity inthe songs that comes from genuine love of playing music together, and The Bouncing Souls have that inspades.

How does one gauge the success of a band pushing the envelope of a genre that receives little to no credit by the mainstream media? In the case of A Wilhelm Scream, the answer is “Who cares?” – As a band playing punk rock for over a decade, members Trevor Reilly, Nuno Pereira, Nick Angelini, Brian Robinson and Mike Supina haven’t focused on success, image or whatever bandwagon a group can jump on to get their music into the ears of listeners: It’s the ideal of music from an honest place, playing to the kids who want to hear more than a simple love song, or want an opinion rammed down their throats.
Despite operating just below the radar A Wilhelm Scream have carved out a reputation as one of the best live bands around, bolstered by their staggeringly rich albums of ultratechnical melodic punk rock firestorms. Playing 250+ worldwide shows each year, the band posses a work ethic best described as ‘heroic’.

The Venomous Pinks are an all-female punk band from Arizona who have been making waves in the scene since 2013. The band is known for their intense and energetic live shows, as well as their catchy melodies and brash punk sound.
While every all-female punk band will draw inevitable comparisons to Bikini Kill, few deserve them more and want them less than the Venomous Pinks. They simply want to deliver the most intense, refined, in-your-face, high-energy hardcore punk regardless of gender or background.
The Venomous Pinks have shared the stage and earned the respect of a who’s who of punk rock royalty, including Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion, and NOFX. They have also played at some of the biggest festivals in the world, such as Punk Rock Holiday, Punk Rock Bowling, and BrakRock.
In 2022, The Venomous Pinks released their long-awaited debut LP, Vita Mors. The album perfectly encapsulates who The Venomous Pinks are in 2022: a fusion of unforgettably catchy melodies and brash punk that pushes forth the underlying messages of unity, equality, and positive mental attitude (PMA).
Whether you’re looking for the slick hardcore punk musicianship of shredding guitars, pounding bass, and thunderous drums or the oft-inspiring message of a band capable of bringing generations of punk rockers together The Venomous Pinks are very much what the present and future look like. These ladies will rock your world in every room of the house, clear out to the parking lot. While their energetic stage performance exhibits a “work hard and play harder” mentality, this tight, punchy three-piece’s unapologetic style will ravage your ears with their mix of punk and hardcore.
