Bonnie Murray Tamblyn will be joined by her band, Blue Heaven to perform songs
from her vast repertoire from the 70's to today. Bonnie has been a singer &
songwriter for over 4 decades, writing the Top 40 country hit, “I Hope you
Understand When I’m Gone” sung by Dottsy on RCA records. Bonnie was signed
to Epic Records & opened for such iconic bands as Dave Mason & Fleetwood Mac.
Tamblyn’s musical roots originated in the 70’s in Hollywood, CA where much
of L.A.’s live music scene was centered. She began writing her own
contemporary compositions, gravitating towards Rock, Blues & Country music.
Bonnie played solo in all the major cities in California, and built a musical
cadre of friends. She eventually formed her first band, Blue Heaven, a solid
Folk-Rock group with stellar players who continue to play with her today.
Tamblyn spent many years in the Louisiana music circuit as well, playing with
such blues legends as Big Luther Kent, Duke Bardwell & Casey Kelly, a journey
that influenced much of her creative voice and song.
In 2012, Bonnie and Blue Heaven released the album, “Winter Wind.” Tamblyn
continues to play as a solo artist, often accompanied by her daughter,
actress/poet Amber Tamblyn. She is a member of the Recording Academy, the
founder & executive producer of the June Lake Loop Mountain Music Festival
(June Lake, CA) & the founder of the non-profit June Lake Loop Performing Arts
Association www.JuneLakeArts.org. Find Bonnie’s CDs on ITunes.
