Known for his word speed, throwback sound and high output live shows, Fil-Am rapper Gifted Youngstaz initially gained recognition through a relentless performance schedule that included bookings with Mobb Deep, Nappy Roots, Wifisfuneral, Robb Bank$ and Lil Debbie. After punctuating his freshman year with a top 10 nomination (7 of 250) among Seattle industry titans Parisalexa, Lil Mosey, and Travis Thompson in Crane City Music Town Love 2018 Awards, Gifted Youngstaz was tabbed by legendary Seattle emcee RA Scion to perform as a part of Common Market during the group’s reunion which included a Northwest tour with Knowmads. At the tour’s conclusion the duo released their self titled TRUE||FORM which was immediately followed by Gifted Youngstaz' solo effort Over the Hill. Ever a purist, Gifted Youngstaz unapologetically carries on the Boom Bap tradition with frequent collaborators Akira Gautama and Chris Carroll drawing inspiration and comparison to Big L and Talib Kweli while maintaining a sound that is uniquely his own.
