Matt Warren is a Nashville native whose songwriting has left an unmistakable impact on modern country and Americana music. His career began in 2002 when he signed his first publishing deal with the legendary House of Fame in Muscle Shoals, AL. He quickly earned his first cut with “Puttin’ Memories Away,” co-written with Gary Allan—a song that garnered national attention with features in Rolling Stone and on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Warren soon became recognized as one of Nashville’s most emotionally resonant writers. In 2009 he received an ASCAP Award for the Top 10 hit “Learning How to Bend,” and in 2013 he earned another ASCAP Award for the #1 smash “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain),” which was also nominated for ACM Song of the Year. He continued to cross genres with “Love Let It Do What It Do,” recorded by Robert Randolph & the Family Band featuring Darius Rucker—the lead single from the Grammy-nominated Got Soul album.

His songs have been cut by a wide range of artists including Gary Allan, Darius Rucker, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Andy Frasco & the U.N., Bucky Covington, Americana icon Jim Lauderdale, Pittsburgh rock legend Joe Grushecky, and The Voice Season 17 winner Jake Hoot. Most recently, Warren contributed four songs to Gary Allan’s album Ruthless.

In 2025, Warren returned to releasing his own music following a profound personal transformation. After entering rehab, Warren found God and began the difficult but powerful work of rediscovering himself. That season of healing renewed his purpose as both a man and an artist, ultimately inspiring his latest creative chapter. Now recording on a new label, he introduced this rebirth with his 2025 EP Heartbreak Superstar, a collection that blends vulnerability, grit, and the honest storytelling that has defined his career.

Beyond writing and performing, Warren is also a co-founder of the Las Vegas Songwriters Festival, bringing Nashville’s storytelling tradition to a world-class stage and championing the songwriters who shape the genre.
