Blaine Holcomb and Williams Road on the RBQ Indoor Stage - Free Show

  • Blaine Holcomb

    Country

Blaine Holcomb grew up in Hamilton, NY, a small rural town in Upstate New York, and from a young age, he loved singing along to country radio.  Blaine began playing guitar at age 11 and his passion for traditional country music only grew stronger from there. By his early teens, he was already performing at local venues, singing with friends, and with a band he started while in high school.

Soon after heading to St. Lawrence University to study Performance & Communication Arts, Blaine entered the Texaco Country Showdown, which is a nation-wide country music competition. He advanced to the regional finals and because of his performance, Blaine was recruited by the Fulton Chain Gang as their new lead singer.  FCG is a New York State country band with a 20-year history. During his three years with FCG, Blaine opened for national acts like Justin Moore, Easton Corbin, and Josh Thompson. He reignited the band with fresh ideas and played a major role in the release of their first album, contributing five original songs while averaging 70 shows per summer. His experience with FCG was incredible and his band mates gave him the opportunity to develop his stage presence, singing, and songwriting, while also giving him valuable studio experience. Because of this, and with the support from his band mates, friends, and family, Blaine has decided to take his career to the next level and move to Nashville.

Blaine’s passion is geared more toward traditional country music, which you can hear when listening to his original songs. His influences include George Jones, Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley, Daryle Singletary, Randy Travis, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, and Brad Paisley.

As an avid hunter and outdoorsman, when he’s not performing on stage, it’s a safe bet that Blaine is in the woods. Music and a love of the outdoors are the two things that drive him the most. Both feel natural to him. What you see is what you get with Blaine, and it doesn’t take long to figure that out. He can’t help, but stay true to himself and his traditional country roots.
