Bill Taylor & The Appalachian Heatherns:
On the outskirts of Middlesboro, KY is where you will most likely hear the astounding voice of Bill Taylor on any given evening, while he’s outside enjoying nature with his family. Bill was born and raised in Middlesboro with his 4 siblings. His parents were hard working people and gave Bill that “work hard for what you want” mindset. He always says “we were never rich, but daddy always made sure he gave us what we needed and we never did without”. Bill’s humble upbringing rings through in the writing that he does. His entire family is filled with truly gifted musicians, but Bill decided to step out into the spotlight with his gift and try to use what he says is his “God given ability”.
In his very short music career, Bill has already seen a lot of success. He has played some highly respected venues and has opened for several highly respected artist. As of recent, he is working on a project with several other notable musicians that will pay tribute to one of our Rock and Roll legends. He has also just released his debut EP “The Cumberland Ave Sessions” that has been given some high praise and is starting to gain traction in the country music world. Bill and his band the Appalachian Heatherns are a group that you are going to want to pay attention to in the future.

After spending a nomadic youth throughout the Southeast (USA), he began callingNashville home in 2009. Since then he’s been joined on his journey by some of music’smost righteous and luminary figures. He has pressed the first few chapters in hiscareer’s studio anthology with the release of his self-titled debut (2012), sophomorereleaseWaiting On You(2015), third studio release Loversity (2018) and live-acousticalbumSolo(2020). All have received critical acclaim and each session as grown with thelegendary family for which he has adopted to curate and share his musical inner-visionwith his listeners.
Waiting On You was co-produced by roots music cornerstone, Oliver Wood (The WoodBrothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band). Adjoined by their savant fluency in the soul musiclexicon, Lewis and Wood called upon the instrumental palettes of masters including Mickey Raphael (Willie Nelson, Neil Young), Darrell Scott (Robert Plant, Guy Clark),Will Kimbrough (Jimmy Buffett, Rodney Crowell), Gabe Dixon (Paul McCartney) andthe McCrary Sisters (The Fairfield Four), all placing their stamp on this enduringexpression of un-compromised songwriting.
Billboard announced the highly anticipated third studio releaseLoversityandpremiered the video for the first single, “One and The Same”. The album landed Lewis aspot on Rolling Stone’s “10 New Artists to Watch” list, with writer Marissa Mossdescribing the album as, “... seventies psychedelic soul, with a storyteller’s eye, aswampy Southern groove and an emotional, political punch.” Once again Lewis hasgiven us an album filled with relentless grooves courtesy of rhythm section JT Cure andDerek Mixon (Chris Stapleton) and transfixing guitars of both Kenny Vaughan (MartyStuart, Lucinda Williams) and Dan Cohen (Bruce Hornsby) - all who continue to blesseach of Lewis’ studio campaigns.
A decade worth of touring his studio efforts (mostly solo) he has captivated audiences allaround the world with his songs and stories that are glued together with a unique andinclusive stage banter he’s developed from performing in numerous music halls, clubs, theaters, festivals, music cruises and the occasional living room.SOLO(2020) is a solo-acoustic album featuring new songs as well as reimagining previously released songs.Recorded at Southern Ground Studios in Nashville in front of a live audience SOLO is anintimate snapshot that captures Lewis in his element and is certain to be a fan favoritefor years to come.
Since their chance meeting in Nashville 2011, Martin Harley, Daniel Kimbro and SamLewis have collaborated with one another in different formats. The three have finallyjoined forces as a single unit now known to the world as HARLEY KIMBRO LEWIS. Thetrio’s debut album (released February 2021) features a collection of all original material.
