Beyond the Beat is a celebration of musicianship, spontaneity, and the vibrant spirit of Los Angeles' music community. Hosted by acclaimed drummer and musical director Brian Collier, this recurring series transforms the B Side into a gathering place where the city's most exceptional artists come together to create music in its purest form.

Each evening begins with a featured performance led by Brian before evolving into a thoughtfully curated session built on artistry, collaboration, and mutual respect. Beyond the Beat is an intentional musical conversation—bringing together established artists, emerging talent, and surprise guests for one of a kind performances that can only happen in the moment.

Rooted in the traditions of jazz while embracing the full spectrum of today's musical landscape, Beyond the Beat reflects the depth, diversity, and creative energy that define Los Angeles. It is a place where community is built, artists inspire one another, and audiences experience the joy of live music as it unfolds in real time.
