Description
Ben Gleib, whose last special “THE MAD KING“ was compared to George Carlin, even by Carlin‘s own daughter, and who has been called one of “the funniest comedians working today” by TBS, is gearing up to film his third hour special, titled “ENDINGS”.
It’s about the most challenging year he’s ever had, and how he found humor in all of it.
One audience member wrote this review that well captures the experience of this new hour, “Ben was wonderful. Hilarious. Powerful. Vulnerable. Heart wrenching and sad moments. Uplifting, joyful and hopeful moments. All of it. What a special…”
-Matthew Burgess
This evening at the Improv lab will be one of his final runs before he films. Don’t miss it.

TBS called Ben Gleib “one of the funniest comedians working today”. He’s Host and Head Writer of the Emmy nominated comedy game show “Idiotest”, which you might have seen trending on NETFLIX, Game Show Network, or currently on Game Show Central on Pluto TV.
For 7 years he was one of the stars of “Chelsea Lately” with Chelsea Handler.
You may have seen his Showtime hour special “Neurotic Gangster” now on Amazon Prime, or his critically acclaimed new hour special “The Mad King”, which has drawn comparisons to the GOAT George Carlin, even from Carlin’s own daughter. He’s currently one of the lead anchors on “The Young Turks” (TYT), the biggest online news network in the world.
Gleib has been featured in the last two “NETFLIX is a Joke” Festivals, and selected for “Best of the Fest” at the legendary Montreal “Just for Laughs” Festival. He was called by the Interrobang the number 3 “innovator who changed comedy in 2020” and was named by Esquire one of six comedians who could be “comedy’s next big thing.”
Ben Gleib was also a regular on the “TODAY Show” with Kathie Lee & Hoda on NBC, “The Late Late Show” on CBS and “@Midnight” on Comedy Central, and his podcast “Last Week on Earth with Ben Gleib” on Kevin Smith’s Smodcast Network debuted at #9 on iTunes Comedy. As an actor he’s appeared in 13 movies, including the “Jay & Silent Bob Reboot” and voices “Marshall the Sloth” in “Ice Age” and Dali in “The Book of Life”.
Gleib has done an astounding over 400 episodes of television, and his online views are now over half a billion!
He’s also known as one of the best improvisers in comedy, and does a monthly, all improvised, worldwide virtual show with “Nowhere Studios” called “Gleib Off The Top”, as well as an improvised show with Greg Proops of “Whose Line” fame, and an occasional show with one of the great comedy icons of all time John Cleese of Monty Python, called “Cleese Gleib Me Alone”.
He’s a fearless standup comedian who speaks his truth with an unyielding confidence, and a bold, yet silly and self-effacing humor. His fans, known as the "Mad Ones", some following him around North America, and consider him their "Grateful Dead", can speak to the impact of his comedy.
