    Bad Habitat

    Hip-Hop/Rap

Bad Habitat is the hip-hop equivalent of The Three Musketeers, with the swagger of a young Rat Pack, and a style all their own. Forming early in the summer of 2008, Dru Manchu, Flawless, and Trafek have since stolen hundreds of shows, amassed a loyal fan base, and built a reputation as one of the hardest working groups in Portland, Oregon's ever growing hip hop scene. Intent on making intelligent, yet high energy music, Bad Habitat has developed an aggressive, progressive sound that incorporates real life lyricism mixed with over the top braggadocio and an original flavor of beats (primarily provided in-house by members Flawless and Matt Murdock). Drawing influence from multiple genres, ranging from punk and classic rock to early hip hop, indie funk and 80′s pop, Bad Habitat has created a hybrid of styles rolled into an easily accessible sound that would feel just as natural blasting from a frat party as it would rocking a mosh pit!

" A high-energy rap trio that bounces from carefree bars to intense syllable-play with the dexterity of young Mario, the group is a favorite in Portland's underground rap scene."

Fahiym B. Acuay - The Oregonian

"...this band is amazing. A true show stopper, their three-front attack is unrelenting... Driving with an unequaled momentum this band controlled the stage and had the house enthralled... If you haven't checked out this band do yourself a favor and pop over to their website..."

Mark A. Lawrence IV - By The Light of the Stereo

Although hip-hop at its core, their seamless blending of a wide variety of genres have resulted in a sound that shatters the traditional confines of what constitutes hip-hop, while remaining true and respectful to the roots of the art form. It's pub pop with rap vocals; the perfect soundtrack for a night of intelligent debauchery. From true heads to casual hip hop fans, punk rockers to teeny boppers, Bad Habitat has managed to find firm footing on a previously undiscovered common ground, bridging the gaps between genres that have no rightful place blending together. Yet somehow, they’ve managed to make it work.

  • Raise The Bridges

    Raise The Bridges

    Alternative Rock

Drawing from a deep pool of musical inspiration, Raise the Bridges sound like a party teetering dangerously on the edge of being out of control. Of course, this is the carefully constructed vision of this funky Portland-based hip-hop hybrid. A full band backs two separate vocalists, mixing elements of reggae, ska and rock n' roll, helping to provide a high energy soundtrack for the clever wordplay, intelligent lyrics and sing-a-long choruses.

From Heather BuBlac, manager and sound engineer at The Ash Street Saloon, Portland's legendary rock venue "...A sunny blast of hip-hop and rock, Raise the Bridges are a cross over of party rock and ska/reggae with a metallic edge to it. This is one of those bands that you lose your voice screaming along with, suckin' back a few more then you thought you would and when you wake up next to that guy you saw near the bathroom, wondering how you got there... The answer will inevitably be Raise the Bridges, that's how".

Performing together since summer of 2008, these longtime friends relish in providing party music with a purpose. Check out their live show for a truly entertaining and exciting experience.

TALILO Jose Terrance Flanagan (born December 30th, 1989) better known as his stage name "Talilo" is a Filipino-Americanhip hop recording artist residing in Portland, OR. Known for his quick lyrical delivery and spiritual inspiring lyrics he continues to pursue his dreams of being a world wide known recording and performing artist. Most people relate his quick style to "Bizzy Bone" from "Bone Thugs&Harmony". He is currently working on an album after releasing his EP(My Truality).

Born in Iloilo, Philippines, he came to the states at the age of 2. His mother was a high school student in Iloilo, Philippines and his dad was in the military stationed there. She married his dad and took him to the states and they all lived in the Bay Area, CA. Raised in an abusive environment He chose the streets over his home life. Eventually him and his mother would sleep in a car after his mother broke up with his father. At the age of 10 he became interested in the gang life and expressed his anger that he built from his home by committing crimes. At the age of 12 he moved to Klamath Falls, Or with his mother to get away from the life style in california and by 15 he set his feet in portland after being kicked out of school. By 16 he started to rap. Being Asian American, growing in low income and being a high risk to the community He began to feel unwanted in society which lead him to making decisions that would eventually end him up in jail and in prison. After being released from a two year sentence at the age of 21, he came out as a different person influenced by spiritual values that carry him until this day. He has done what he said that he would do once he got out of prison, "Go to school for Music, Start his own Record Label, and find a job". He now has his own band (Ancientsunz), his own record label RLM Ent , now going to school for music, and obtains money in ways that don't break the law. Talilo has a heart for people who have been through similar things as his self, people that have experienced death, abandonment, loss, and regrets he continues to inspire others with his music knowing that his purpose in this life is to help others.

" Die knowing that you lived, and live knowing that you'll die"

    - Talilo
