It is a rare creative soul who can work at the highest artistic levels in two distinct disciplines. Ray Stephenson has just this kind of soul.
Wildly literate, utterly artistic, impossibly ambitious, absolutely a slave to his art, the South Georgian is completely committed to the truth. He is a world class songwriter, recording artist, an intensely captivating live singer, guitar player, record producer & virtuoso painter. Add in the ability to express the uniquely personal in a universal way, and you have a true artist.
Ray Stephenson does exactly that in his paintings, his songwriting & his performances.
As a musician, Ray Stephenson is a Grammy Award winning, Platinum selling singer/songwriter from Nashville, TN. His successes include winning CCMA Songwriter of the Year in 2013, writing the title track of Kenny Chesney’s album Hemingway’s Whiskey, and writing the Blake Shelton/Miranda Lambert duo and album title track, Red River Blue. Both reached #1 on the Billboard Album Charts and were certified Platinum. Some of the most revered and iconic legends in Country Music have recorded his music, including Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, and Merle Haggard. He’s been a part of 4 Grammy nominated projects and 1 Grammy winning project (Guy Clark’s final recording, My Favorite Picture Of You, which brought home the Grammy “Best Folk Album” in 2015).
As a painter, Ray's paintings are hanging in the homes of collectors like Willie Nelson and Oprah Winfrey. In 2012, Ray became the Official Painter of the Monsters of Rock Tour. Dave Pahanish is a 30 year veteran of the music industry working as a musician, artist, songwriter, singer, performer, and producer. After spending 15 years performing across his home-town southwestern Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area, after visits to New York and LA seeking the best place to grow his many talents, Dave made it to Nashville. Within three weeks of landing in Nashville in late 2006, Dave was offered three publishing deals and settled with a company owned by songwriters Hillary Lindsey, Dallas Davidson and Cole Wright.
Dave Pahanish is now a three time #1 hit Billboard Country songwriter and a hit producer with 6 charting singles. Dave penned Tobey Keith’s “American Ride”, Keith Urban's "Without You" and Jimmy Wayne’s “Do You Believe Me Now?” ( co-produced by Dave as well)
Urban chose the song “Without You” because of how closely the lyrics fit in with his own life stating, "It's the most autobiographical song I never wrote.” Pahanish wrote the song after meeting his wife’s family for the first time without realizing any similarities to Urban’s life. The song became Urban's 12th No. 1 single.
Notable cuts by Dave include Tim McGraw's “Right Back Atcha Babe" and "The One That Got Away" (also recorded by Lila McCann)- #12 Billboard single “I Will” by Jimmy Wayne, Emily West's “Completely Yours” and Collin Raye’s “Divine Everlasting Love”.
As a performer/artist, Dave is 2 year veteran of the Country Throwdown Tour with Willie Nelson, Eric Church, Little Big Town, Jamie Johnson, Eric Paslay, Montgomery Gentry, Eli Young Band and many others.
Dave still performs regularly and has released 7 albums to date, all available on iTunes and other streaming sites. He has released a video for the song "The One That Got Away" from his 1997 album Shine, this song went on to be recorded by numerous other artists including Tim McGraw, and Lila McCann.
Most recently Dave has been producing other artists including Jake Hoot current winner of the hit tv show "The Voice". Dave co-wrote the song “Better Off Without You” with Jake that solidified Jakes win on the Voice and was #1 on iTunes country . Currently working on the sophomore album for George Shingleton as well as proving and writing with other artists.

Growing up in White Bluff, Tennessee…
Sunday afternoon at the Fleet house meant getting family and friends together for a little back porch music potluck. It always served up a plateful of Gospel, Bluegrass and Country music. It sure did spark an interest in young Larry, and with the help of renowned guitarist Kerry “Doc” Stone he learned to play. By the age of 7, he was invited to perform at the world famous Ryman Auditorium where he played guitar in a Bluegrass group performing the classics, “Orange Blossom Special” and “Wildwood Flower”.
The traditional country sounds of Merle Haggard, Vern Gosdin and Randy Travis all influenced Larry, but when a family friend requested that he play, “Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay” he became introduced to a whole new world of music. The smooth styles of Otis Redding, the Temptations and Muddy Waters continued to shape him.
While in college at UT-Martin, Fleet fell in love with the sounds of Jimi Hendrix and the Allman Brothers. He began playing in bars and Honky-tonks across Tennessee and Alabama and fine tuning his skills. He started writing and performing his own songs and worked to develop his sound. He wanted to incorporate the common threads from his early country heroes, the smooth soulful blues and R&B singers and the rock n roll influences.
Larry Fleet truly has found his own voice in his writing and performing. Whether you call it a throwback to days gone by or something totally all its own, one thing is certain… It doesn’t sound like anything else!
