Safe Harbor Standardbreds is a 100% volunteer-run, foster-farm based equine rescue organization based in Middle Tennessee. Funded primarily by private donations from people like you, we complete full assessments of animals and provide training when needed to help ensure a lifetime home. We are passionate about horses, educating our communities, and making sure our animals find the right people. Founded in 2013 as Safe Harbor Equine and Livestock Sanctuary, the organization was at the time, the only option in our area for both horses and livestock animals. Today, we are focused on retraining and re-homing off the track Standardbreds and community outreach programs to improve the welfare of horses and their humans in our region.
