From the heart of the Australian psych scene… country-pop rainbow rockers BABE RAINBOW return with studio album #7 Acid and Honey. Recorded on a houseboat in Amsterdam and Zen master Mullarky’s Malibu ranch; exciting dance beat production backs wailing Babe Rainbow vocals on solid skanking hip-hop hard rocking finger funky sounds. From mild to wild
Sugary stars BABE RAINBOW reggae grooves reign supreme on the new album Acid and Honey.. features some of the heaviest Babes material to date and should clear up any doubt about Kool Breeze’s ability to hold down the bottom end. Simple and hypnotic, with a great feel
Eat, sleep, breathe, live it, 24hrs a day, everyday, let it out, now.. July 16 “Babe Rainbows Acid and Honey”
Produced by the band with their collaborator Timon Martin (Benne, Ratbag). The album is 100% self-financed and released independently through the band's label, Eureka Music/AWAL.
The album was recorded at their band shed at home, as well as champion Kyle's County Line Recording Studio in the Malibu Hills, Marie Louise’s houseboat in Amsterdam, a dairy farm in Blackwell, UK, Aesium Music House, and the home of their good luck charm Sam Joseph.
Musically as varied as all those recording locations, but the album comes together distinctly Babe Rainbow. Built from their traditional mix of folk and psychedelic sounds, the new record also taps this time on the shoulders of reggae, electronica, and country.

Yasawa Group
Alternative Rock
Matt Taylor co-founded The Growlers just past the turn of the century, and that was an immense force in the bellowing sound of the great American west. But this is not that. This is YASAWA Group that we speak of, so let's get that out of the way. Yasawa, the opening salvo of the Fijian lexicon's fifteen words for heaven. This is the Spoiled Milk And Honey fable of a Contemporary Musical Record in the early part of the 21 st century. This is the alternate soundtrack to the un-scheduled remake of ToLiveAndDieinLA, the pack of coyotes night howl, the train yards past Vernon, the sea gulls crying in the grime of a mid day white washed by the thin sky of the Anthropocene, the millions of gas pipes burning as the wind rustles over the rat shit wrapped in palm fronds. This is far and along past the music you knew about, but its familiarity is there in the distance. We know MT's music and song writing, but we didn't know about YASAWA GROUP'S roll out on the perfect wheel known as pop song writing. And the wheel need not be re invented. Fuck all standing there alone under the spot light and to come up fighting and clawing for these songs. With 'Enter The Chrysalis' MT leisurely steps down into the proscenium and out from under its arch into his own masterpiece. An album written at the edge of the looking glass that takes an inward vantage point on honest raw self reflection.
