Babe Haven, The Rosies, Crocodyle
-
Babe Haven is a high-energy queer punk band that riots in Durham, NC. This lineup doesn’t just
push boundaries in their songs and on stage; they also challenge their audience to be active in
and outside of the pit. With a mission to elevate femme-presenting individuals, people of color,
and members of the LGBTQ+ community, they transform each show into a sanctuary of
empowerment and acceptance.
Babe Haven has been setting stages ablaze and selling out shows, quickly becoming an iconic
DIY staple of the Southeast. Their sound can be classified as early 00s nu-metal rebellion
meets riot grrrl sass – a sonic assault that grabs you by the ears and refuses to let go.
Babe Haven’s sophomore album - "Nuisance" - delivers a distinctive blend of nu metal, thrash,
and punk, resulting in a sound that is both unique and raw.
Written/recorded by Lillie Della Penna (vocals), Naomi Poesel (guitar), Julia Lynn (bass) and
Brendan Martini (drums) the fast-paced, hard-hitting tracks usher in an unmatched energy that
sets it apart in today's music scene. -

Crocodyle is an alt rock group in the vein of Arctic Monkeys crossed with Green Day. The joy of performing is their foundation — frontman Hux Rittman, who grew up in Singapore and found his way to Tennessee, connected with drummer and Atlanta native Hays Thompson, and they got to work creating together, eventually filling out the band with CJ Gravley-Novello and Christi Landis
If Crocodyle can make a listener say, “I haven’t heard anything like that in a while,” they’ll consider it a job well done. More than that, though, the band wants people to feel good about themselves. There’s an undercurrent of optimism to Crocodyle, an act brimming with youthful energy, and that energy is contagious when the band performs onstage.
They aim to leave audiences amped up, refreshed, and feeling like they just saw someone onstage who related to them. “Someone’s on the same level as you,” frontman Hux says. “We just want people to feel a little less alone.” Crocodyle doesn’t take themselves too seriously, keeping their love of music and classic rock and blues influences front and center. Despite their grounded goofiness, they’re not afraid to touch on many of the subjects plaguing fellow young people today: the reality of the social age, an unprecedented number of unprecedented events, and the loneliness that can come along with coming of age.
