What you might remember most about rapper FVBE is that he used to sleep in the studio. Or, when he was bagging groceries, he snuck into the bathroom to write down lyrics. Maybe what you will remember most is that he changes the color of his dreads. But, you will remember FVBE. He was made to be on music’s largest stages. “People want to see personality and when they do, they love you,” FVBE said. “I don’t want to just be known for my personality, then you’re just an entertainer, not an artist.”

Pronounced Fabe, and short for Fabian Jr., he has an immediately likable personality. Like his music and overall chill vibe found in his music videos, FVBE is gaining attention and keeping attention.

FVBE, 20, admits to being obsessed with visuals – the drive to create and make movies and act in them, led him to audition to get into San Francisco’s prestigious performing arts school. His English teacher helped plant the seeds to create beats
and arrange his own lyrics. “He knew,” FVBE, said, “that we didn’t want to write essays. We were all creative types – dancers, musicians, actors, and artists. I had a friend that had a studio and our assignments became full shows – people would post them on Facebook live, the class loved it!”

Still, he struggled to finish high school (I got into the wrong crowd, he admits, spending some time in juvenile hall), and the obsession to create movies never stopped. He enrolled into City College of San Francisco and really put in the time. “Guess what” he said. “ I failed. I got an F! I never looked back and just kept going.” Influenced by such legends as Tupac, Kurt Cobain, Michael Jackson, Wu Tang Clan, and giving nods to Kid Cudi, Chief Keef, it’s easy to immerse into his “Better Days,”
when he’s telling the next generation of rappers to stay in their own lane. In a self-prophecy way he’s making his move and no, this isn’t a hobby. FVBE is writing his own script and starring in his own self-made movie. He’s a force of visuals, beats,
and lyrics wrapped around a charismatic personality. And he’s in it for the long haul. “There was no second plan – that’s all I focused on every single day,” FVBE says about being in the studio and performing live. “I’m learning you have to accept
where you are.” His voice really lights up when he talks about his fans. His videos have made their
mark on thousands across the globe.
