Atomic was one of San Jose’s longest running dance party weeklies that ran from 2003-2015 at the legendary Blank Club with DJ Basura. Taking classic new wave, synthpop and post punk hits of the past from acts like (New Order, Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Smiths, Siouxsie & The Banshees etc.) and mixing in more modern indie rock of the time (from the likes of Interpol, The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bloc Party, LCD Soundsystem etc.), Atomic was THE alternative for club goers craving something a little different in San Jose during its heyday in the early 2000s.
