    Asking Alexandria

English Metalcore band Asking Alexandria's origins began in Dubai, where lead guitarist Ben Bruce first developed a group around the name. After releasing one album, The Irony of Your Perfection, the group disbanded. Bruce returned to York in North Yorkshire, England. Using the name Asking Alexandria, he formed a new group with no musical or personnel ties to his former band from Dubai.

In 2008, the band began as a six-piece with synthesist Ryan Binns. Binns departed before the recording of the band's debut album, leaving Asking Alexandria a quintet. In January of 2009, bassist Joe Lancaster was replaced by Sam Bettley. Since then Asking Alexandria has included Bruce, Bettley, vocalist Danny Worsnop, rhythm guitarist Cameron Liddell and drummer James Cassells.

Recorded in spring 2009, the band's first LP, Stand Up & Scream, was released later that year on September 15. It charted at 170 on the Billboard Top 200. The band's second release was the EP Life Gone Wild, which featured a demo of the song "Breathless," and two Skid Row covers, "18 And Life," and "Youth Gone Wild." Nearly four months later, on April 5, the band released their sophomore album,Reckless & Relentless. The album sold 31,000 copies in its first week, and reached number nine on the Billboard 200.

Some bands roll with the tide, while others generate it. Exhuming technically proficient and progressive metal, BORN OF OSIRIS exerted a seismic impact on heavy music with its trend-setting 2007 debut The New Reign only to shake things up even more on The Discovery in 2011. However, once again, the critically acclaimed Chicago six-piece will be setting a new paradigm with its highly anticipated fourth full-length album for Sumerian Records.

Teaming up with acclaimed producers Joey Sturgis [The Devil Wears Prada, Emmure] and Nick Sampson, the group is primed to explode like never before, manipulating 6-string and 7-string guitars on the same recording diversifying their writing and pushing their boundaries further than ever before.

Lee McKinney (guitars) states: “We were more focused for the writing of this record than any of our previous efforts. We've had 2+ years to write, critique, adjust and learn these songs, which is just something we haven't had in the past with our intense touring schedule. All of us living together and constantly feeding off eachother's energy made for the best and most focused BORN OF OSIRIS album to date.

BORN OF OSIRIS are mature well beyond their years and this dynamic progressive juggernaut has now perfectly honed all of their collective talents to create what will soon be a pinnacle release for the metal genre.

    After The Burial

    Heavy Metal

Hailing from the Twin Cities region of Minnesota, progressive metalcore band After the Burial formed in 2004. Originally consisting of guitarists Trent Hafdahl and Justin Lowe, bassist Lerichard Foral, drummer Dan Carle, and vocalist Nick Wellner, After the Burial created a sound that pushed the boundaries of heaviness through the use of extended-scale guitar work and progressive math-metal technical playing. The group self-released its first EP, Forging a Future Self, in 2006, and began touring heavily in support of the album. The following year, Wellner decided to leave the band after coming to the conclusion that the touring life wasn't for him. He was replaced by Grant Luoma, and in 2008 the band signed to Sumerian Records and released its first full-length, Rareform. Personality clashes within the band led to Luoma and After the Burial parting ways later that year, with Anthony Notarmaso joining as Luoma's replacement. In 2009, the group released a re-recorded version of Rareform featuring Notarmaso's vocals and live drums while the band acclimated to the new singer. After dealing with busy touring schedules and member changes, After the Burial finally settled down to write new material, and in 2010 released their first album of new material in two years, In Dreams. The band kept busy with two more releases in 2013, with a new EP, This Life Is All We Have, as well as their fourth full-length offering, Wolves Within, arriving that year. Guitarist and co-founder Justin Lowe left the band in early 2015 via a distressed open letter. He disappeared on the evening of July, 20 and was found dead by a hiker the following day underneath the Soo Line High Bridge, which separates Stillwater, Minnesota and Somerset, Wisconsin. Dig Deep, the group's fifth studio LP and first without Lowe, was released in February 2016. ~ Gregory Heaney

Originally starting as no more than a solo side-project by frontman and songwriter Noah Sebastian, Bad Omens became a more serious musical endeavor after Sebastian left his position playing guitar for his renowned local and former band based out of Washington D.C.- in late 2013.

In early 2014, Sebastian announced his departure from his former band. For the following year, Sebastian would focus all of his time and energy towards getting the new project on it's feet; writing and recording an EP, seeking out management and label support, and along the way recruiting his long-time best friends guitarist Nicholas Ruffilo, bassist Vincent Riquier, second guitarist Joakim "Jolly" Karlsson, and drummer Nick Folio.

In the spring of 2015, now partnered with proper management, the band landed a recording contract with indie label top-dog Sumerian Records. Soon after, Bad Omens set out to record their very first full length record with award winning heavy music producer Will Putney in Belleville, New Jersey. Now residing in Los Angeles, CA, Bad Omens have been met with significant praise from the public after the release of their debut single "Glass Houses." A taste of what's to come while remaining loyal to the genre itself, Bad Omens doesn't leave one stone unturned and are truly a relentless new force to be reckoned with.
