Ashbringer was established in 2014 by Nick Stanger with the solo-recorded debut LP Vacant (Avantgarde Music). The project was soon expanded into a full band to tour the United States and Canada. Subsequent releases Yūgen (2016, Avantgarde Music, Vendetta) and Absolution (2019, Prosthetic) further expanded on their kaleidoscopic sound, combining elements of black metal, post-rock, folk, noise and ambient music. With their lineup now fully solidified, Ashbringer continue to evolve into a sound uniquely their own, drawing from an expansive palette to craft their most experimental yet accessible release to date: We Came Here To Grieve. Blackened-death metal band based out of Chicago. With lyrical inspiration rooted in existential abjection and terror, Selenoplexia blends stream-of-consciousness songwriting with the brutality of the genre's staples. 
 Founded in 2021 by guitarist Daniel and drummer Jonathan, the duo began writing the genesis of what would eventually become the band's first EP - Agony. After adding the merciless vocals of Courtney and backbone of bassist Sawyer, Selenoplexia was complete and the band began polishing its sound and actualizing the goal of a primal, intense live experience. The quartet released “Agony” in 2022 with the help of Nick Ayala at Massacre Studios (recording) and Floor van Kuijk at GLDCHN (mixing & mastering).
