  • Asaf Avidan

    Pop

International singer-songwriter Asaf Avidan blends introspective poetry with a singular, gravelly voice, creating a sound that moves freely between Folk, Jazz, Rock, Pop and Blues.

Born in Jerusalem, raised in Jamaica, and later based in Italy and France, Avidan grew up across cultures and borders. Before turning 24, he studied cinema, became a voice actor, graduated from art academy, survived cancer, and worked as a professional animator. At 26, following a difficult breakup, he left his job and picked up a guitar for the first time, beginning a career spanning nearly two decades.

Since then, he has sold out prestigious venues including Opera Garnier and the Acropolis, headlined major European festivals, opened for Bob Dylan, and achieved multi-platinum album sales. Known for his uncompromising live performances, he recreates his songs without computers, autotune or playback. An outspoken vegan and animal activist, Avidan also operates Different Pulses Sanctuary, an animal rescue farm in France, with his life partner.
