Pop Punk
Few bands have left a mark on the UK alternative scene quite like As It Is. Over the last decade, they have not only perfected the nation’s uniquely despondent pop-punk-emo sound but also pushed its boundaries, holding up a mirror to what makes this culture tick. Even in their absence, their influence could be felt in the very foundations of this special community.
Having reunited in their classic lineup - Patty Walters, Ben Biss, Patrick Foley and Ali Testo - As It Is have unveiled a fully re-recorded edition of seminal debut album, Never Happy, Ever After, in full. This new, definitive version is a celebration of the band's legacy and connection to the global alternative scenes, featuring a cast of special guests spanning generations of the global pop-punk and emo community, including Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens), Lucas Woodland (Holding Absence), Brownsound (Sum 41), Tobi Duncan (Trash Boat), Mikaila Delgado (Yours Truly), NOAHFINNCE, and many more.
The band will make their anticipated return to the big stage at Slam Dunk Festival weekend 2025 before returning to touring, with a series of headline dates announced across the UK and US where the band will play the Never Happy... album in full alongside cuts from their beloved discography and, just maybe, some surprises....
As It Is are here to stay, bolder and better than ever, and ready to step back into the spotlight where they belong.

Cherie Amour are both an established act and a new band. Its members – vocalist Trey Miller, guitarists Casey Reid and Brendan Willis and drummer Ronnie Sherman – had been playing together as One Life To Lead, but felt that name didn’t suit their evolving musical style. As a result, they renamed themselves Cherie Amour, and it’s with this moniker that the self-styled nu-punk outfit have truly found their true selves. The four-piece have done so by mixing together a killer blend of genres that, on paper, make for odd bedfellows, but which, in the band’s capable hands, sound like they’re meant to be together.
“It was amongst our goals to not try to prescribe to a certain genre,” says Allen. “We wanted it to be all-encompassing so that you can get out of it what you want and need, and we felt that nu-punk was the best way to describe that simply.”
“It gives us absolute freedom,” adds Miller simply. “We just don’t have any rules, and so sometimes strange stuff happens. But it works!”
