SUNDAY AUGUST 31st // 12PM - 4PM   12PM - DOORS 1PM - NATURAL INCENSE WORKSHOP 3PM - OPEN STUDIO  4PM - END   ART ETC club is honored to join forces with Chicago-based artist & incense-maker, Morganne Wakefield of Hard Broom. Morganne will be leading a workshop exploring the art of natural incense making. We'll be learning the basics of incense-making,  using herbs, tree barks and resins. Participants will craft a small batch of Empty Bottle inspired incense cones to take home. All materials are provided and the Empty Bottle will be offering a signature Palo Santo inspired cocktail to sip as you work.   Hardbroom is a ritual goods shop, focused on hand rolled natural incense, ceramics, and incense making workshops. The shop was founded by Morganne Wakefield, a multi-disciplinary artist & designer in 2021, after many years of experimenting with incense. Sustainability and slowness are at the heart of the project, celebrating the expression of plants through incense making and education. The rest of the afternoon will offer ART ETC club’s usual Open Studio vibes.  Bring your existing projects or start a new one. We will provide space, music, and a wide range of free art supplies (paint, drawing materials, sewing machines, collage supplies, embroidery and crochet tools, so so so much fabric, and more). Our goal is to learn something new and make art together. The bar will be open and pizza available next door at Pizza Friendly Pizza. 21+ // unless accompanied by a guardian
