The passion to create a unique, roots reggae band is what brought the members of Arise Roots together. Hailing out of Los Angeles, California, Arise Roots was formed in 2010, however, it seemed as though these brothers were eventually destined to cross paths. Each member had been performing in various reggae bands throughout Southern California and backing various reggae legends coming into town. However, drummer Ron Montoya decided to form what he considered to be the next powerhouse reggae band.
After searching for several years and filtering through numerous musicians, Arise Roots was finally formed. Teaming up with heavy bassist Rudy Covarubias and keyboard/vocals specialist Todd Johnson, a tight rhythm section served as the driving foundation. Soon after, lead vocalist Karim Isreal was added providing his soulful, organic, and powerful voice. Finally, guitarist Robert Sotelo joined the group adding the finesse and authenticity needed for this original sound.
The goal: to create a fresh reggae sound with a modern feel that appeals to all ages and races, but one that doesn’t compromise the true feel of roots reggae. Anybody who has had the opportunity to witness an Arise Roots show understands the powerful sound and positive vibration that they produce.

Mia Jativa, known as “Jahtiva” takes her semi-eponymous name from a
clever play on words that translates to "God's Flower." With a soulful yet
powerful vocal delivery, her music is deeply influenced by the classic roots
reggae of the mid to late 70’s. Jahtiva has continued to captivate a diverse
and growing global audience with an expanding catalog of original tracks
as well as covers, honoring the genre's rich history while pushing it forward
into the future.
Jahtiva released her debut EP “Medicine Woman” in 2024, featuring an all-
star cast of world-renowned reggae musicians including Grammy winners
Santa Davis on drums and mixing engineer Fabian Cooke. In early 2025,
Jahtiva released her first full length music video filmed in Hawaii for the
EP’s title track. Most recently, Jahtiva released her second EP titled
“Crucial Lover.” The EP features another excellent line-up of musicians
from established bands Slightly Stoopid, the Aggrolites, E.N. Young and
Dubbest with Cooke again mixing the project.
Following the release of her first two EP’s and a string of well-received live
performances, Jahtiva’s momentum is at an all-time high. The twenty-two
year old continues marching towards her goal of creating powerful,
inspiring music and continuing to connect with her growing fan base. As
Jahtiva prepares for the release of additional singles and collaborations this
year, she is setting her sights on expanding reach beyond San Diego, with
plans for shows in nearby regions and partnerships with international
reggae artists, DJ’s and sound systems.

The Resinators, a Pacific Northwest band that now reside in San Diego, California are a three-piece powerhouse who offer a unique take on Rock-Reggae, with an eclectic yet cohesive sound. The Resinators’ professionalism and incredible live performances have earned them a strong following up and down the West coast.
While rapidly establishing themselves within the SoCal reggae scene, brothers Kyle and Kevin Cameron and long-time friend Broc Sanders still find time to tour the States and continue to put out new music. Their single ‘Livin’ With Lions’ released April 20th of 2019 perfectly encapsulates their unique sound. Awakening nostalgic memories of old-school dirty punk reggae alongside a new, invigorating spunk that leaves listeners wanting more. Additionally, released in October of 2020 The Resinators deliver an ultra dynamic and sonically unique EP album titled, ‘Vacation’ that exhibits great maturation and diversity to their sound. As for their latest single released April 2021, “You Got It'‘ is a pandemic driven ska anthem sure to get you moving.
It has been the Resinators’ pleasure to share the stage with other Rock/Reggae favorites including New Kingston, Sol Seed, SensaMotion, Mike Pinto, Tomorrow’s Bad Seeds, Sensi Trails, Dubbest, and Kyle Smith — just to name a few.
Motivated by an endless desire to create, perform, and grow as artists, The Resinators’s ultimate hope is to continue to travel, play shows, and hear their sound resonate around the world! #Resinate&Resonate
