Possessed of an innate enquiring mind, Philadelphia-born jazz drummer, composer, and educator Ari Hoenig relentlessly explores the melodic possibilities of the drums. He is known for his unusual and intense approach to drumming which emphasizes complex rhythms in direct harmony with other group members. Ari has worked with a long and impressive list of musicians ranging from Joshua Redman to Mike Stern, Pat Metheny, Billy Childs, Herbie Hancock, Chris Potter and Richard Bona.
