Friends of FUNDESUR, a U.S. 501(c)(3), supports 12 years of locally-led development across Honduras through FUNDESUR's high-impact health, education, and environmental initiatives. This work has historically been co-funded through the generosity of the Honduran shrimp industry donating 2 cents for every pound of shrimp they export globally to community development.
 
Our impact to date includes:
  • Medical Care: Delivered over 411,000 free medical and dental services since 2014.
  • Medicine: Donated over $79 million in medicine to 300 clinics across Honduras. 
  • Education: Built 49 schools to ensure kids have a safe, digified place to learn.
  • Reforestation: Planted over 1.3 Million Mangrove seedlings to protect the Honduran coastline.
