Lulú Solares, known to audiences across the globe as Miss Lulú, is a celebrated DJ, radio host and event producer who has shined a brilliant spotlight on reggae music and culture for nearly two decades - helping hundreds of thousands of people light the fire. Today, Miss Lulú is seemingly everpresent in Honolulu - producing a monthly island music and arts fest (“Island Pulse”) and periodic dub party (“Rub A Dub”), regularly spinning at Hawaiʻi’s biggest concerts, and hosting “Mundo Reggae,” a radio show Lulú has helmed for 18 years, now heard on Hawaiʻi Public Radio every Friday from 10pm to midnight. Driving it all is Miss Lulú’s conscious, positive spirit - an embodiment of all the goodness of reggae and eternal champion of the power of culture, community and sound.
