Annie Reiner's repertoire ranges from jazz and blues to rock and roll and standards.  She has a particular way with humorous and poetic songs, and songs like those of Leonard Cohen, that tell stories of psychological depth.  Rhythm, music and humor are in her genes, for she grew up in a family of "hyphenates".  Her father, comedy legend, Carl Reiner, was a writer/actor/producer/director, and her mother, Estelle Reiner, was a talented painter and accomplished jazz singer.  As a singer and psychoanalyst who paints, writes plays, poetry, novels and psychological books, Annie extends this legacy of multiple gifts even further.  Like her mother who started singing later in life, Annie began singing in her fifties, serving as a reminder that it is never too late to follow one's passions.
