Grammy-Winning "virtuosos on clarinet & saxophone" (New York Times) identical twins and Washington, DC natives Peter & Will Anderson present the music of the legendary Duke Ellington 1956 Concert at the Newport Jazz Festival.  Featuring their 15-piece all-star orchestra, titles will include "Take the 'A' Train," "Black and Tan Fantasy," "Sophisticated Lady," and "Mood Indigo."  The most prolific American composer of all-time, Duke Ellington broke musical barriers of popular music and created a distinctive compositional style traveling with his jazz orchestra around the world for over fifty years.  Peter and Will Anderson have headlined at The Blue Note, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Feinstein’s 54 Below, live on Garrison Keillor’s Prairie Home Companion, and can be heard on the Grammy-winning soundtrack of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire with Vince Giordano’s Nighthawks.  Peter and Will can be heard and seen in the major motion pictures Revolutionary Road, Killers of the Flower Moon, Boardwalk Empire, and The Marvelous Ms. Maisel.

All ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds, however you can email us at office@birdlandjazz.com to have your ticket credit held or exchanged for a future date.

You must notify us at least 24 hours before the performance. The ticket credit is valid six months from the date of cancellation, and can only be exchanged once. We are not able to offer transfers outside of this policy.
