The Boyd Parker Ambush has its roots in Livingston County, much like the minor military engagement during the Revolutionary War which inspired its name. Led by guitar-wielding lead vocalists Jeff Sherner (The Genesee Revelers) & Nick Cory Young, the lineup is rounded out by Jeff Simpson (The Genesee Revelers) on bass, Tommy Formicola (Teagan & The Tweeds) on pedal steel & Sean Sullivan (Woody Dodge) on drums. The band’s sound & set list draws heavily from both alternative country & the country rock sound of Gram Parsons with some classic country thrown in for good measure.
