Led by world-renowned guitarist Alex Skolnick (Testament), the trio blends genres like funk, Western swing, calypso, and electronica with daring improvisation and sharp musicianship. Known for unexpected and inventive covers—from Tom Petty to Chick Corea to Aerosmith—AST’s sound is as adventurous as it is musical. Their latest album dives deep into themes of humanity vs. technology, improvisation in the age of AI, and modern social behavior, all with a touch of humor and high-level artistry. The record features standout originals and jaw-dropping arrangements, performed on a variety of vintage and modern instruments. AST features Skolnick on guitar and vocals, Matt Zebroski on drums, and Nathan Peck on bass—three virtuosos who thrive on pushing boundaries live. The group has toured internationally, appeared at major jazz festivals, and opened for Rodrigo y Gabriela at venues like Radio City Music Hall and The Olympia in Paris. Acclaimed by Billboard, Downbeat, NPR and more, AST offers a live experience that bridges jazz tradition with modern edge—perfect for fans of genre-bending instrumental music.
