THE ALEX MINASIAN QUARTET Alex Minasian - piano Bill Pierce - tenor Vincent DuPont - bass Steve Williams - drums With two degrees from NYU, Alex Minasian has, at a remarkably young age, established himself as a versatile pianist, educator, and impresario in many different genres. He has performed in most of the country’s most famous jazz rooms, such as Birdland, the Blue Note, Café Carlyle, Yoshi’s, Bohemian Caverns, Herb Alpert’s Vibrato, Iridium, Jazz @ Lincoln Center, and the Apollo Theater. He has shared the stage with such legends as James Ingram, Arturo Sandoval, Mel Carter and Clark Terry. Alex was the last pianist for the late iconic singer and NEA Jazz Master Little Jimmy Scott, and is the pianist and musical director for the renowned jazz singer Mark Murphy. He also performs as pianist and musical director for singer, actor, songwriter, and musical historian Billy Vera and his 18-piece big band. All GA sections (Main Floor GA & Miles Davis Mezzanine) will be seated by host and are first come, first served (other than where a reserved sign is posted to table).  If you require special seating, please call the venue for accomodations no later than 48 hours prior to show date. Please note that if you do not purchase all seats aat a table, other customers may be seated at the table. ~~*if you purchase pre-show reception buffet, you will dine in the Boathouse 400 restaurant, located on the 2nd floor of the hotel,  from 5:15pm to 6:30pm.
