For the past decade, The Vindys have been captivating audiences with their signature blend of rock, soul, and pop. Hailing from Youngstown, Ohio, the band has built a devoted following through electrifying live performances and heartfelt songwriting.
At the heart of The Vindys is powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Jackie Popovec, who has earned high praise from none other than Pat Benatar, who raved, “She’s amazing. That girl can sing her ass off.” She’s backed by an exceptional lineup, with John Anthony delivering electrifying lead guitar, Rick Deak on rhythm guitar, Owen Davis on drums, Brendan Burke on bass, and Nathan Anthony on keys. Together, this dynamic ensemble crafts a sound that Music Connection Magazine hails as “rock and roll at its finest.”
The Vindys have been making waves nationally, lighting up major festival stages and opening for legends like Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, ZZ Top, Marcus King, Beth Hart, and Ann Wilson.
Their anthemic track “Are You Ready” was featured in ESPN commercials, while their music video for Bugs earned an exclusive selection at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.
Critics have taken notice—The Washington Post’s Marc Thiessen raved, “Jackie Popovec is a revelation… By the end, they were delivering a raucous standing ovation. See. This. Band.” (The 10 Best Concerts I Saw in 2024). They were also named Cleveland Magazine’s 2023 Editor’s Pick for “Best Indie Rock Band.”
The Vindys are gearing up for an electrifying year as they prepare to release new music that showcases their evolving sound and boundless creativity. They aim to push boundaries all while staying true to their rock, soul, and pop roots. Their passion for crafting songs fuels their excitement, making this upcoming release not just another milestone but a bold step forward in their journey. The next chapter of The Vindys’ story is about to unfold, and it promises to be their most thrilling yet.

Jimmy Hall was born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in Mobile by a musical family steeped in gospel tradition.
Jimmy Hall first gained notoriety as the lead vocalist, saxophonist, and harmonica player for the band Wet Willie, which emerged from Mobile, Alabama in 1970. His unique brand of R&B-infused rock and roll swagger propelled the group’s “Keep On Smilin’” to the Top 10 on the Billboard singles chart in 1974. After five albums with Capricorn Records, Wet Willie moved to the Epic label in 1977, carrying the singles “Street Corner Serenade” and “Weekend” to the Top 40. As a solo artist, Jimmy appeared in the Top 40 yet again with “I’m Happy That Love Has Found You” in 1980. His songs have been recorded by Gregg Allman, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Amazing Rhythm Aces, Blackberry Smoke, Johnny Russell, and others. Additionally, Jimmy has been a vocalist and bandleader for Hank Williams, Jr. since the 1980s. Jimmy is an inductee of both the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Jack Ruch, a guitarist celebrated for his brilliant tone and soulful phrasing, blurs the lines between blues and jazz. Also a powerful singer, Jack draws influence from Blues legends of the past with unwavering integrity. Ensuring the music is always rooted in soul. Along with him is Adam Wakefield, one of Nashville’s premier soul singers and a world class keyboard player. A former member of the Steel Drivers and Texas Hill, Adam provides the foundation with his rich, jazz influenced Hammond organ playing and crisp, blue-eyed soul vocals. Rounding out the trio is Wes Little, one of Nashville’s hardest working and most respected drummers. A true chameleon who moves effortlessly from complex, afro-cuban rhythms to hard driving funk to delicate brush work. Bringing the music to life with his dynamic and expressive playing.
