Adam Birnbaum presents his own fresh, improvisatory vision of Bach, having created jazz-trio arrangements of a dozen of the composer’s preludes and recorded them with bassist Matt Clohesy and drummer Keita Ogawa. The resulting album, titled Preludes, will be released by Chelsea Music Festival on October 10, 2023.

More About Adam:

Adam Birnbaum is emerging as one of the top young voices in jazz piano. Since receiving a graduate Artist’s Diploma in jazz studies from The Julliard School in 2003, he has become a presence on the New York City scene as a leader and sideman, performing in such venues as the Village Vanguard, the Blue Note, Birdland, the Jazz Standard and Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola. He has also performed on many national and world stages, including the Gilmore International Keyboard Festival, the Kennedy Center, the Montreal Jazz Festival, The Spoleto Festival, The Red Sea Jazz Festival, The Rockport Chamber Festival, NPR Jazz Christmas, and the Capetown Jazz Festival.

He has performed or toured with established jazz artists such as Al Foster, Greg Osby, Regina Carter, The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, and Jazz at Lincoln Center with Wynton Marsalis, as well as with young artists such as Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society and Cecile McLorin Salvant. Birnbaum has appeared as a sideman on more than 25 albums.

All GA sections (Main Floor GA & Miles Davis Mezzanine) will be seated by host and are first come, first served (other than where a reserved sign is posted to table).  If you require special seating, please call the venue for accomodations no later than 48 hours prior to show date.

Please note that if you do not purchase all seats aat a table, other customers may be seated at the table.

~~*if you purchase dinner and show packages, dinner is two hours prior to showtime in the Boathouse 400 restaurant, located on the second floor of the hote.  Dinner and show packages include a 3 course dinner, one complimentary glass of house red or white wine or non-alcoholic beverage, all state and local taxes, 18% gratuity and complimentary parking in the hotel garage while enjoying dinner and show.

All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Show tickets will be at the door of the jazz club starting at 6:15pm for the 7pm show and 8:45 pm for the 9pm show.

Pre-Show Reception for the 7pm show is in the Boathouse 400 restaurant, located on the 2nd floor of the hotel and is from 5:15pm to 6:30 pm.

Dinner/show packages are available for the 9pm show only. Dinner begins in the Boathouse 400 restaurant at 7pm.

**All Dinner and Show Package prices include applicable taxes of 7% ($6.65) and 18% gratuity ($17.10) One glass of house red or white wine or non-alcoholic beverage + validated parking while you are enjoying dinner and show.are included with dinner packages. For your convenience, a $95 credit will be applied toward restaurant charges. Packages and tickets are non-refundable.
