  • Actionesse

    Actionesse

    Alternative Rock

"Actionesse is weird. Their sound is hyper, frenetic, and bouncy, and it relies on a psychotic brass section that attacks your ears and assaults your brain. Those horns turn punk into a swirling melee, and you just might find yourself holding your breath during Mignon, Actionesse’s latest EP, so as not to be pulled under completely." - Christine Mitchell, Seattle Music Insider (Sept. 2016)

A hush falls over the crowd. A lone sea bean calls into the night: “PAH-KRAWH, PAH-KRAWWWHH!” You feel sweat gathering in between your eyelid and the boney part underneath your eyebrow. What’s that smell? It’s Actionesse.

Born, bred and bathed in brassy broth, Actionesse is a five-piece heavy surf/punk rock group freeloading from Seattle, Washington. Their textured, maximalist approach to genre-bending has been lauded as “weirdo rock”; their live performance “like a swirling tornado onstage”. Guitarist Ian Reed and bassist Paddy Moran rebound off each other’s action and emotion, flanked by powerhouse horn player Joel Kenworthy and the enchanting, debonair Phil Kaltenbach on guitar. Drummer Jimmy Colven is a master of his kit, layering quality beats with unexpected, yet rhythmically pleasing fills. As each member takes their turn bellowing and hollering throughout their set, it is made clear that Actionesse is a tight-knit group committed to collectivity, passion, and their watercraft. I mean, music.

Actionesse released their debut EP, Mignon, in September of 2016. Produced by Ahren Lanfor, the record perfectly reconciles the band’s dark and heavy meaty bits with their soft, playful underbelly. Seattle Music Insider praised the album, stating, “Mignon is a masterful next step following their contributions to the Four Corners split released a couple of months ago; indeed, it shows the band’s growth even in such a short period of time. Their sound is darker and the lyrics more aggressively angry. That Actionesse pulls this off with the diverse instrumentation that is their hallmark is impressive.”

    Dirty Dirty

    Alternative Rock

DIRTY DIRTY is a aggressive two piece fuzz rock band that comes from a place of blues, punk and dance music played stripped down to best convey the attitude of these contemporary rock musicians.Howling vocals, chaotic bass guitar and hard hitting rock, hip hop and guilty pleasure dance beats fuel their active live performances and energetic studio work.

  • Kulululu

    Kulululu

    Experimental Rock

Kulululu has traveled long and far to finally arrive on earth. While here, Kulululu is in search of the answers to the questions; why? and why not? You may not understand what they are saying. You may not understand why they look the way they do. They may not understand these things either. What's important is that time is continuous, and without it we cannot find our way back to where we started.

"Opening up the night were the comically clad KULULULU. Part frenzied rock set, part lively performance art piece, dancers ran around the audience as they thrashed about on stage." -Cervante Pope, The Deli Magzine

"It's like a F••k You! and a big hug, at the same time."

"They were good. But weird! But really good!...But weird."

"Loony bin escapees masquerading as musicians!"

"It's like David Lee Roth, high on crack, and lost in the MoMA"
