Sax/flute player Rob Williams arrived in Cleveland from California and became an integral part of this area’s music scene in the ’80s when he hooked up for a time with hugely popular local rock/reggae band First Light. Later he formed ACO — the Afro-Cleveland Orchestra — which blended jazz, blues, R&B, funk and other styles. They were regulars at the Grog Shop back in the ’90s, when they hosted musician-oriented night; they still occasionally re-surface there from time to time doing a reunion show.
Jackie Warren on piano
Ray Deforest on bass
Gary Naherny on drums
Larnie Zellner on harmonica
Jim Cirillo on saxophone
plus special guests!
