Paul Faith rounded up 20 of his (and your) favorite songwriters to create brand new protest songs for a compilation album- join them at a Release Benefit Show at Chickie Wah Wah on America's Birthday, the 4th of July.

Early in 2026, Paul had an idea he couldn't get out of his head: to prompt his friends and fellow songwriters to write and record new, original protest songs for a compilation album. Their response was overwhelming and inspiring. Together, they made an album of protest songs that run the entire gamut: songs of anger and songs of unity, laments and calls to action, rockers and stripped back roots numbers. Paul and 15 of the artists invite you to join them on Independence Day at Chickie Wah Wah at 7pm to join your voice with theirs- pre-sale tickets are $20. All proceeds from the show will go to ISLA: Immigration Services and Legal Advocacy, who provides free legal services to people in immigration detention, children, and their families. The show will feature songs from Dusky Waters, Burris, Ever More Nest, Basch Jernigan, and many, many more - with a stellar backing band to support them all throughout the evening.

Chickie Wah Wah Presents
A New Orleans Songwriter Protest Album Release Benefit Show ft. Paul Faith & Friends

  • Paul Faith

    Music

A 14 year New Orleans-local by way of Virginia, Paul Faith is a songwriter who is known for captivating audiences with little more than his guitar, harmonica, and explosive vocals. Paul takes the music he grew up listening to: 90's grunge/alternative rock, emo music at the turn of the century, and the folk rock of artists like Dylan and Young, and packs it into honest, expressive songs with compelling vocal melodies. Paul released his first collection of music, entitled The Smell When it Rains, in March 2024. His sophomore album with his full backing band entitled, "Oh Well" released in February of 2025. Paul Faith and the Barstool Prophets are known for their high-energy, electric performances: the goal is to leave the stage at the end of the night with no fuel in the tank. In addition to regularly gigging around greater New Orleans, Paul is the showrunner and host of a songwriter night for the past three years, entitled the "The Living Room", most Fridays at Skeeta Hawk Brewery.
