A Jazz Tribute to Vince Guaraldi’s A Charlie Brown Christmas

  • Jeff Kazee

    Jazz

Jeff Kazee is a NYC-based singer-songwriter & pianist—best known for his longtime roll as bandleader, keyboardist & producer for the legendary Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes—serving onstage as the harmony-singing foil to Southside Johnny, and offstage, Southside’s chief songwriting and producing partner. Comfortable in almost any musical genre, Jeff has also worked and performed with Bon Jovi, Roger Waters, Dar Williams & The Steve Kimock Band and the Early Elton Trio. Kazee’s current solo album, “Thanks For Checking In” has found critical success and its material is often showcased in his sold-out solo piano shows. Jeff can be found playing monthly with his “Jazzish” piano quartet at the Roxy Hotel in Tribeca, New York City.
  • Ian Gray

    Jazz

Ian Gray is a trombonist, arranger, and bandleader who studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and has performed with Cory Wong, Darlene Love, and Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes. He leads the Ocean Avenue Stompers, Asbury Park’s top-call house band, who’s horn section has shared the stage with Bruce Springsteen, The Front Bottoms, Brandon Flowers, and more, while his studio credits include recordings with Little Steven Van Zandt, Mitski, and Low Cut Connie. Also a DJ, record collector, and lifelong music lover, he is thrilled to present the timeless sounds of A Charlie Brown Christmas at this special Blue Note–presented show.
  • Cody McCorry

    Jazz

Cody McCorry is a composer, arranger, recording artist and internationally touring multi-instrumentalist based in Asbury Park, NJ. He tours and performs his works with his own shapeshifting experimental ensemble, We Used to Cut the Grass, who have released two full length albums to date. He also works as a bassist and co-composer in several active projects ranging from mathcore to traditional jazz, in addition to composing for film, television and video games. Notable projects Cody is involved in include Thank You Scientist and The Number 12 Looks Like You.
  • Cameron Lockwood

    Jazz

Cameron Lockwood is the founder of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” show and the drummer for pop artist Fletcher. Once immersed into live performances beginning at a young age, he developed a talent for improvisation with a keen sense for calculated pocket-style playing while remaining self-taught. Cameron has toured with numerous bands since the age of 18, traveling the globe as the drummer for Fletcher and sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in music like Taylor Swift, Jonas Brothers, Panic at the Disco, Halsey & Katy Perry.
  • Joe Gullace

    Jazz

Joe Gullace is a trumpet player from central New Jersey. He studied music at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music with trumpet technicians Laurie Frink and Lew Soloff. Immediately after graduating in 2016, he joined the 7-headed-prog-rock-monster Thank You Scientist and began touring the country extensively. While Joe is home, he teaches trumpet and drums at his local music school. When he’s away from the horn, he can often be found baking pretzels or playing a round of disc golf.
