    Christmas

For the last two decades Jeff Berkley and Calman Hart have been entertaining audiences with their natural down-home humor and masterfully-crafted songs . In 2018, they celebrated their 20th anniversary with a live performance of their debut album, “Wreck ‘N Sow”.  Released in 2000, “Wreck ‘N Sow” was a critical success out of the box, winning the San Diego Music Award for Best Local Recording and helping Berkley Hart take home the coveted Best New Artist trophy as well. SLAMM magazine said of it, “Sometimes an album surfaces that is so emotionally and musically authentic that it crumbles resistance to its genre.”  In the years since, they’ve played festivals, performing arts centers, and house concerts all over the country,  recording  another 10 albums and winning several more awards along the way.  In 2016 alone, they put out three albums: “BHST” (with Eve Selis and Marc Intravaia), “A Berkley Hart Christmas”, and “Fleur De Lis”, a powerful collection of 20 songs combining their trademark vocal harmony and unique acoustic style to create a listening experience that is, as one critic put it, “warm and peaceful as a summer evening on the bayou”.  They have also become well-known for their theme-shows, most notably their productions of “O Berkley Where Hart Thou”, an old-timey tribute to classic Americana,  and their recreation of "The Last Waltz", a passionate homage to The Band’s 1976 farewell concert.  In 2019 Berkley Hart are still doing their best to live up to that SLAMM review of 20 years ago. Their latest release "While The Night Is Still Young" recently won the SDMA for Best Americana Album.  If early reviews of it are any indication, their reputation for performances that are “emotionally and musically authentic” is alive and well.

    Lisa Sanders

    Americana

Lisa Sanders is an electrifying harmonizer. Her heartfelt songs are genuine with deep meaning and conviction.  A musical style that can only be described as a soulful country blues, her genres include folk pop, gospel, rock and jazz. Writing, singing and producing from her heart in nearly every genre for over three decades, Sanders continues to make an impact in the musical world.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she began singing with her older brother Ty at an early age. The family relocated to Argentia Newfoundland, Canada where her parents encouraged music daily. Artists from Motown Records, Johnny Cash and others with a mixture of rock and classical music were key influencers in Sanders’ upbringing. Upon moving to Southern California, she signed to Cargo Earth Records and released her first album Isn’t Life Fine. After her second album Life Takes You Flying was released in 1999, Sanders went on to establish her own label Maya Jade Records in 2004. She has since released five albums from her own label:

Sanders has worked with musical legends including the Truckee Brothers, Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Rait, Al Green, BB King and Babyface. Sanders continues to songwrite, produce and collaborate with artists from all over. She currently resides in San Diego as the founder of Star Woodwork by Lisa. Star Woodwork by Lisa specializes in handcrafted wooden materials into beautiful objects, structures and garden pieces.

    King Taylor Project

    Alternative

Silky vocals. Lyrical intent. Soaring guitar over moody keys, swaggering R&B rhythms and rocking drive. King Taylor Project is the multifarious lovechild of married singer-songwriter team Sandi King and Joshua Taylor, and their gleefully unruly band of co-conspirators.

KTP has burned up the road playing hundreds of shows on several independent tours across the U.S. and into Mexico. In addition to their energetic live performances, studio collaborations, and side projects, KTP creates and releases all their original work with the direct support of their fans on Patreon.
