Tyler Edwards is a singer-songwriter from Florence, South Carolina. He began his career in 2008, writing and performing with the rock band I Anthem. After releasing two EPs and an LP, I Anthem achieved moderate success with multiple songs breaking the Top 10 on Billboard's Rock Charts and music featured on MTV and NASCAR. In 2015, Edwards launched his solo career with a 6-song EP, “Too Young for Love” and moved across the country to Seattle, Washington.

Since relocating to Seattle, Tyler has cultivated a strong grass-roots following, building from open-mics to selling out notable venues around the city. The stark honesty and passion that make his live shows so compelling also translates into his recorded work. Ear to the Ground Music notes that “...Edwards has a genuineness about him that makes his album infinitely listenable".

Now, two years after the EP, Tyler is excited to announce the release of his debut full length album!  “A Few Good Hearts" gives listeners a personal insight into his past two years of change and growth, and bridge his musical influences from rock to folk and country. With lyrics as a focal point, the music moves in and around the words to paint a masterpiece of verbal and sonic imagery that tells a unique story.

    Singer-Songwriter

Tyler Edwards is a singer-songwriter from Florence, SC. He began his career by writing and performing with rock band I Anthem from 2008-2014. After releasing two EP's and a LP, the band had moderate success with multiple songs breaking Top 10 on Billboard's Rock Charts and music featured on MTV and NASCAR. During this time period, Edwards also began writing acoustic based songs; he remarked, "I started to understand the value of the silence that acoustic music can create. This excited and challenged me to make sure I really mean the words I write and sing."

With the release of Tyler's latest solo EP - "Too Young for Love," he reveals some personal stories and questions. The title track is a song he says he wrote the morning of his 25th birthday while reflecting on love being hard but necessary to truly living. Similarly, the first track, Headed for the Coast, directly communicates his plans to move to the West Coast, which he did in January 2015 via an one and a half month cross-country tour from Florence, SC to Seattle, WA. Each song on this record has a personal story or idea behind it. Listeners can expect that songs to follow will be of an equal honesty and experience.

    Lydia Ramsey

    Folk

Seattle's Lydia Ramsey is a talented singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist and has been praised for the almost vintage quality of her voice. Her songs convey both the wildness and free nature of traditional folk music and feature melodic fingerpicked-guitar backing up her beautiful voice. She has recently released her first full length LP entitled, Bandita.  "This album is brilliantly constructed with tons of folk, Americana and southern country influences that meld seamlessly into a storyteller’s musical odyssey."  Aaron Mannari, Lemonade Magazine

"The haunting vocals and melodies make this album a must own record." Earle Dutton, Equality 365

The album's first single, "Ghosts", is a wonderfully southern-inspired folk tune that showcases Lydia's natural fingerpicking guitar ability, her banjo playing and her lovely vocal harmonies.  “Ghosts” debuted last month on NPR's First Watch.

Last month, “Show Me The Stars” and “Shake Me” from Bandita were featured in KEXP's Song of the Day and Music That Matters Podcasts.  Bandita has ranked in the top 5 of their Americana charts for 6 weeks in the row.

“If there’s one thing about The Ramblin’ Years that should go unquestioned, it’s that their great big sound is always on point, their attitude always ready to party, and their crowd, always on board.”

    - Stephanie Dore, Seattle Music News

Founded as a college band in 2011, The Ramblin’ Years were packing crowds into Seattle’s bars by 2013.  They spent the past 5 years selling out Seattle venues like Tractor Tavern and Neumo’s, touring the West Coast and inland Northwest, and playing music festivals such as Capitol Hill Block Party, Macefield Music Festival, and NW Folklife.  The Ramblin’ Years started working with Fastback Studios engineer and producer Jason Lackie in 2014 and released two EP’s, “Nickels & Dimes” and “Halfway Somewhere.”  After years honing their skills and earning money playing on the road, the team is proud to present their first full-length album.
