Close out the 69th San Francisco International Film Festival with a very special Star Wars Day screening of Star Wars™: Episode V—The Empire Strikes Back. The evening includes a very special onstage conversation between C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels and Lucasfilm veteran and SFFILM Board Vice President Howard Roffman. Presented in collaboration with storied Bay Area entertainment leaders Lucasfilm and Another Planet Entertainment.
ABOUT THE MOVIE
After the destruction of the Death Star, Imperial forces continue to pursue the Rebels. After the Rebellion’s defeat on the ice planet Hoth, Luke journeys to the planet Dagobah to train with Jedi Master Yoda, who has lived in hiding since the fall of the Republic. In an attempt to convert Luke to the dark side, Darth Vader lures young Skywalker into a trap in the Cloud City of Bespin.

The adventure continues in this "Star Wars" sequel. Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) face attack by the Imperial forces and its AT-AT walkers on the ice planet Hoth. While Han and Leia escape in the Millennium Falcon, Luke travels to Dagobah in search of Yoda. Only with the Jedi master's help will Luke survive when the dark side of the Force beckons him into the ultimate duel with Darth Vader (David Prowse).
