Few bands can boast a back story as impressively bonkers as the world famous METH DAD.
After being canned from the American shot-put team at the 2008 Olympics in Bejing for his "party boy" attitude, Tyler Walker, AKA METH DAD vowed to give up his life of ball throwing and embrace one of, well… ball throwing. In the next 3 years he built a name for himself as the biggest and best one man party show in the galaxy.
But life on the FBIs most wanted list took it's toll. In December of 2011 he returned to America for the first time in 18 months, explaining that he had to come back because "You can't get any decent cheese in Djibouti." Things looked bleak for our hero; in January of 2012 he was found guilty on multiple accounts of bamboozlement, party-rocking and sorcery, and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment. METH DAD quietly accepted his sentence, saying he planned on devoting his many years of solitude to "booty bass and gaining immortality."
But fans were less patient. In the following year the MDLA (METH DAD Liberation Army) launched a massive grassroots campaign of guerrilla concerts, blue angel fly overs, senate walk outs and submarine sinkings. Threatened by a government in shambles, In the fall of 2012 President Obama offered to pardon METH DAD in return for his penning of a new national anthem.
But national wasn't the word for it at all. Global, universal or down right satisfying would be more fitting terms for METH DAD's opus "No Parents" which was released on New Year's Day 2013 and is still ranking number 1 on over 137 different music charts worldwide. In what has been described by Newsweek as "the only true phenomena" a massive, world wide simultaneous broadcast of the single on Martin Luther King day 2013 has ushered in a new era of peace, which some historians are calling a 2nd pax romana, that has to date doubled the total number of days in recorded history without war.
Not content to just merely write the best song ever, METH DAD spent much of this past spring working on his debut full length "POSI VIBES" and assembling the first ever METH DAD MEGA BAND. So what does METH DAD have planned for the rest of 2013, no one knows for sure, but to quote Jay-Z "A future filled with METH DAD is terrifying; a future without him is certain death."
