Mousai Entertainment, LLC Presents, the 3rd annual Sierra Leone Independence Masquerade ball takes center stage at the historic Howard Theatre in Washington DC. This exciting event theme this year is” where different ethnicities connect in style and grace” Attendees are encouraged to be creative by creating a unique formal attire showcasing their tribe/tribe. This year’s ball not only celebrates Sierra Leone's diverse ethnic groups but also fosters connection with other African countries and the diaspora. This is a red-carpet event formal attire is mandatory.

Sierra Leone, a small yet culturally rich country on the west coast of Africa, has a complex tapestry of ethnic groups. The country boasts 15 ethnic groups, each with its unique languages, customs, and traditions. These ethnic groups, despite their diversity, find unity in their shared Sierra Leonean identity. It's this unity in diversity that the Sierra Leone Independence Masquerade ball seeks to celebrate.

The 3rd Annual Sierra Leone Independence Masquerade It's a platform to connect Sierra Leone with other African countries, fostering a sense of shared history and common destiny. By bringing together representatives from different African nations, the event aims to strengthen bonds, encourage dialogue, and promote cultural exchange.

Moreover, this event is also a bridge connecting the Sierra Leone diaspora back to their homeland. It's an opportunity for Sierra Leoneans living abroad to reconnect with their roots, engage with their culture, and contribute to their homeland's development.

The night will be fill with Sierra Leone cuisine, Artist from Sierra Leone legendary female artist Willie Jay headlining the event, special guest artist Yok7, Askante, Ezy Tha Genius, Richie Obama Comedian of the Republic of Sierra Leone, and cultural dance. Also, Sierra share same tribes with some African countries Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, and the Caribbean come join them as the celebration Sierra Leone’ 63 independences.

    Wilhemina John, affectionately known as Willie Jay – the Female Legend is a multi-talented artist who is well known in the Sierra Leone entertainment industry.  Born and raised in Freetown, Sierra Leone, Willie Jay is a musical sensation; she's the sonic daughter of the nation. Her beats resonate through the streets, becoming a rhythm that Sierra Leone proudly claims as its own. As one of Sierra Leone's pioneering female rappers, she has spun a symphony of versatility in every beat. In the grand halls of school popularity, Willie Jay claimed her throne as the Grandmama of the scene. Three times award winner for “Best Female Entertainer” in Sierra Leone.  In 2013 she was given an award by The President of the Republic of Sierra Leone for her outstanding performance in the music industry. The first female artist to resonate through the school corridors, she inspired a generation with her energetic performances that left everyone craving an encore.  In the grand narrative of Sierra Leonean music, Willie Jay is not just a legend; she's a living melody. So, buckle up, as this musical journey is far from over – there are more verses to be written and beats to be dropped. Willie Jay – where music meets legend, and the legend is still unfolding.

    Sierra Leone hip-hop/rapper godfather Yusuf Osio Kamara known as YOK-7 which means, I am there (YOUR OBELUS KALEIDOSCOPE ) A BRIGHTLY COLORED FRAGMENTS OF THE UNIVERSE was born and raised in the Republic of Sierra Leone, in the Eastern part of the capital city of Freetown. Since childhood he was clearly marked gifted. He spent his youth listening to rappers like method man, Tupac, jay-z and DMX who are his main influences as hip hop artists.

    He sharpened his skills as a rapper by entering rap battles throughout the providence in Sierra Leone, claiming his first victory on his very first attempt, since than he can’t put the mic down. He began to seriously concentrate his efforts on his music career, by 1998, he joined a musical group called PLANET SOUNDS PRODUCTION, In 1999 they completed an album called “PLANET SOUNDS COMPILATION VOLUME 1” in which he has two songs, name “RIGHT UP AND HOW MANY” and also started his label best known as Nobel Squad as the CEO, the core principal of this label is distribution of Sierra Leone’s music all over the world, in a non-violent means and believing in individual talents and working together as one. Recently, collaborated with Nigerian artist Teni on his latest album “Fire Dancer”

She is the Founder of the SLAAM Awards and Save the nation nonprofit.  She is a Gospel Singer, actress, talk show host and CEO of Giileh Global Productions.

    Lionel Gworlekaju also known as “Ezy Tha Genius” is a Multi-talented Liberian singer, rapper, ghost writer, music producer. Ezy Tha Genius has appeared on 106 & park - underground music segment He was one of the competitors on *BET - Black lives challenge and took 3rd place in the competition. He has been on the Swag in the morning show, on the "Get in The Game" segment. He was a writer for “Jinx” before Rick Ross signed him to Maybach music.  Ezy was one of the opened acts for hip-hop artist like Joe Budden, Ransom. He was also on tour with Wizkid in 2017 when he did his tour in the USA. And performed at Echo stage in DC.

    Richie's educational background is as impressive as his comedy career. He is an alumnus of Fourah Bay College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Works.
