The Miami short Film Festival is dedicated to promoting the short film genre, showcasing films from 1-30 minutes long. The Festival is international in scope, bringing exposure to the world’s best independent up-and-coming filmmakers. MIAMIsFF’s goal year after year is focused on motivating directors, screenwriters, actors, and producers to make films and share them with fellow film makers and industry professionals. The ultimate goal is to bring exposure to independent up-and-coming filmmakers.   Festival Schedule Saturday, November 15 3 PM: Screening #2 – The Space Between Us The Space Between Us explores how places shape the stories we live and the connections we forge. In these films, rooms, streets, and landscapes become more than backdrops, they hold memories, influence choices, and sometimes emerge as characters in their own right. 6 PM: Screening #3 – THE ITALIAN FRAME In partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute of Miami (IICMiami), this showcase celebrates the richness of Italian cinema—stories infused with the poetry, culture, and magic of Italy. 8 PM: Screening #4 – The Texture of Silence The Texture of Silence invites you into a cinematic space where words fall away and emotions speak louder than dialogue. From completely mute films to stories woven only through sound and atmosphere, each short explores how silence can reveal, intensify, and transform the human experience.   Sunday, November 15 3 PM: Screening #6 –  Under the Surface Under the Surface shows the quiet struggles and hidden feelings we all carry inside. These films reveal the pain, hope, and strength that don’t always show on the outside. They remind us that beneath what we see, there’s a whole world of emotions shaping who we are. 6 PM: Screening #7 – Roots & Visions This program brings together fresh, vibrant short films created by local and student filmmakers. Through their unique perspectives, these works explore the heartbeat of our vibrant city of Miami, its challenges, dreams, and everyday moments. Each film offers a glimpse into the future of storytelling, grounded in local culture and bursting with creative energy from emerging filmmakers. 8PM: Screening #8 – What Was Once Ours A special selection that invites you to journey back to the moments that shaped us—lost joys, forgotten memories, and pieces of ourselves waiting to be found.
