  • Wayne Baker Brooks

    Wayne Baker Brooks

    Music

Wayne Baker Brooks serves notice of a new powerful force at play in the music world. Combining outstanding song craft, passionate vocals, and a liquid fire guitar style, this talented artist manages to honor his rich blues heritage while effortlessly expanding the boundaries of the genre.

Born and raised in Chicago, IL amongst the most prolific blues legends and blues masters in the world, Wayne Baker Brooks blues roots may run deeper and wider than the Great Lake Michigan itself, but this truly innovating artist knows no creative boundaries.

2015 marks the second Riverside Bluesfest appearance of Wayne Baker Brooks; the first was the very first Bluesfest in 2007, with his father, Lonnie Brooks.

  • Teeny Tucker

    Teeny Tucker

    Music

Although Teeny was born into blues royalty, (daughter of Tommy “Hi-Heel Sneakers” Tucker), one need only to hear Teeny to know that she has cultivated and developed her “gifts” into her very own uniquely compelling world-class package. As a child, this Dayton Ohio native began singing in the church choir. This experience, like so many other soulful success stories, undoubtedly began to chart the course of Teeny’s music career. The paths which would lead to her abilities to interpret with soulful, bluesy, and uniquely stylistic renderings was set.

A 1994 performance at the Apollo Theatre won over the notoriously cruel and scrutinizing audience, which earned Teeny a standing ovation. Encouraged by the Apollo experience, Teeny started her professional singing career in November, 1996, when she caught the attention of a German blues promoter and manager who had promoted European tours for her father.  Since then, her musical journey has seen Teeny performing at many of the major blues festivals in the U.S., Sweden, France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Italy. Teeny was chosen for the cover of July/August 2004 edition of King Biscuit Time Magazine accompanied by a featured story of her musical journey.

Teeny has been invited to appear on the same bill with great blues artists such as: B.B. King, KoKo Taylor, Etta James, Buddy Guy, The Holmes Brothers, Calvin Owens, Robert Cray, Keb Mo, Deanna Bogart, Kenny Neal, Bobby Rush, John Mayall, and many others.

  • Bumper Jacksons

    Bumper Jacksons

    Music

Bumper Jacksons are a big, fat party. Hot and sweet, their early jazz and country repertoire paints America's story from New Orleans' brothels to Appalachian hollers. Unafraid to scrap together new sounds from forgotten 78's, the Bumper Jacksons boldly and elegantly balance paying homage to the traditions while fashioning their own unique, DIY style. Recognized as DC’s “Best Traditional Folk Band” at the 2013 Washington Area Music Awards, the Bumper Jacksons are ready to pounce onto the national scene. Despite their young career, Bumper Jacksons have positioned themselves squarely at the helm of the young roots music scene, pioneering a new, fresh take on American music, and all the while throwing one hell of a party.

  • Sonny Moorman Group

    Sonny Moorman Group

    Music

More than just a Blues-Rock artist, award-winning guitar player Sonny Moorman balances his signature smoking-hot riffs with a hard-rocking precision and feel born deep in the Blues ethos. Seeming to channel inspiration from elsewhere, his world-class playing is at once both transcendental and firmly grounded in reality, captivating audiences nationwide. The music is original, complex and never stale, with relatable lyrics and a sound that conjures up masters like Duane Allman, Lonnie Mack, and Freddy King. Still, Moorman has forged his own intoxicating style throughout his decades-long career, which firmly establishes him as one of the last great authentic roadhouse players.

  • Adam Andrews Blues Band

    Adam Andrews Blues Band

    Music

This band is alive! They own the stage and deliver passion to the audience. Their array of original tunes are born from life experiences and events. The Adam Andrews Blues Band's stomping ground is NW Ohio and NE Indiana... but ever expanding - from Ontario to Florida...

Goal: Bring into existence blues music that has been missing from everybody's palate up to this point, there has been a void and this band aims to fill it. When they find our music, we want blues fans to experience the feeling of finally finding what they've been looking and waiting for for a long time.

"I've been on that journey myself - combing used CD stores for some amazingly awesome find in a  blues band; surprisingly great, new yet familiar to the soul, timeless songs that today are rare to find. So I set out on a journey to write those songs that have been missing. We strive to bring to life songs that seem so familiar it's like you've heard them before, yet, you know you haven't because they are so good you would certainly have remembered them." - Adam
