Description
It’s 1927, and Bathtub, NJ’s little library is hiding so much illicit activity. This “literary” speakeasy is hosting an illegal hooch-making competition—and Bathtub’s first-ever DRAG ball! Prohibition be damned, everyone drinks alcohol, so you can be sure all of Bathtub's quirky characters will be there. From dueling Mafia families and Hillbilly criminals to Vaudevillians, Freudians, the town's Ministry and even Gatsby’s girlfriend -- everyone’s got a sample to enter. Who will be crowned Hoochie Mama and win exclusive production and distribution at the town speakeasy (we mean, LIBRARY!)? Sample the contestants’ hooch, help us solve the inevitable murder, and arrive early for the chance to join the madness firsthand as one of our delightfully unhinged characters. Enter with us into a world of Beyoncé's Renaissanceand dance club favorites, with 1920s hits from each of the Bootlegging contestants' distinct communities woven in.
What better way to get over the Wednesday hump than a night of death drops, murder, and intrigue? All are encouraged to come in their 1920s Flapper-Dapper best for a $10 Discount—or let us dress you at our RiP Costume Station!
