TRIATHALON is a 3 piece indie band that tastes like candy for your ears. Their sophomore full length Nothing Bothers Me, out on Broken Circles in November, is as atmospheric as their last and just as stunningly lulling. The Savannah, GA trio will have you sleepwalking through a daze, and Stereogum described them as “’90s-style indie rock done right, and ain’t nothing wrong with that.” Nothing wrong at all, space cadets. Their incredible textures and melodic leads are sure to put you in a sonic coma. Come get lost in a reverb soaked chimera while we figure out whose dream it really is. Returning to our stage tonight is Chicago three-piece LALA LALA, a grungey, lo-fi trio who's catchy pop and rock songwriting swims in a river of reverb. These ladies have impressed us twice already in 2015 and managed to spend a good chunk of their spring touring all over this beautiful country of ours. We strongly recommend you treat your ears to their debut tape (courtesy of Manic Static) before you catch em live. Dreamy psych-pop band DEEPER is returning to open tonight's rock gig. Still something of a hidden gem in Chicago's robust music community, DEEPER meld twinkling guitars with cascading rhythms airy harmonies, pushing the "dream-pop" sound into uncharted sonic territories. They packed this joint way back in early-January and left us feeling like we were floating in space, taking in the cosmos and secretly hoping to never return.

LALA LALA was formed in fall 2014 when guitarist Lillie West was approached by bassist Emily Kempf to join her band. They immediately booked their first tour December 2014, with drummer Abby Black joining a week prior. The girls created a handful of fuzzy doo wop grunge pop songs, recorded then to pink tapes and hand screen printed 100 palm tree tee shirts to take on road. LALA LALA has plans to release a full length tape and 7inch through local label MANIC STATIC accompanied w/ a handful of music videos in February. They are currently booking their second tour, a month long west coast and Sxsw endevour. LALA LALA has played with bands such as ne-hi, hecks, funs, earring, palberta, and turnip king and recently got DIY CHICAGO's band of the day.

Deeper is a band based in Chicago Illinois and consists of Shiraz Bhatti, Mike Clawson, Nic Gohl, and Drew McBride. Formed in 2014, they initially performed dream-pop songs, but adopted a more aggressive sound in late 2015 with a stronger focus on interplay between guitars. Unsatisfied with the passivity of the previous sound, the band focuses on channeling the anxiety and uneasiness of modern life.
