HEAVY TIMES isn’t timid or vague in their desire to burn your brain and spin your head with their angry punk anthems, smothered with badass guitars and played at break neck speeds. With releases out via HoZac and Rotted Tooth Records and a new 7” from Windian on the way, HEAVY TIMES specialize in melodious ass-kicking and cavernous grungy pop featuring scuzzy builds, crushing melodic vocal hooks and a dual guitar onslaught. We’re excited to welcome the boys back after their brief tour stint with lo-fi legends GUIDED BY VOICES – they’re driving all the way from Asheville, NC in a day for the show so let’s welcome em back right by throwing beer cans at the stage while they play! COLLEEN GREEN, on the other hand, lives in a purple and green haze of weed smoke and slick melodies and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her back to our stage to support her delicious, all-over-the-rock’n’roll-map 2012 LP Milo Goes to Compton, out via Art Fag Recrods. With a sound heavily indebted to the forefathers of punk, garage, riot grrl and 1960s girl groups, GREEN brings a gritty, sweet and unquestionably fun twist to her self-characterized “stoner pop.” Described as “sensibly modern with a deranged twist on 60s pop and 70s punk,” by the San Diego Reader, PLATEAUS return to the Bottle for the first time since their date on Day 1 of this year’s Blackout Fest. Low-key, skuzzy and catchier than The Clap, these California boys play it cool while they rock your socks and pull off what Impose describes as the perfect mix of “a laid-back attitude with a fuck-you attitude.” The show kicks off with local up-and-comers UH BONES, a trio whose sloppy, back-woods country-tinged garage jams are stealing the hearts of girls all around this here county.
Buy tickets in advance and you may just get lucky - HoZac Records will be giving a way a special Gold Edition 7" by those most-righteous dudes in PLATEAUS, released earlier this year!
